I just found this place and it is our new favorite restaurant. My sister and I had 4 appetisers and couldnât finish them all. Plan to take friends next time to help me eat appetizers and an entree. The service was quick and the watress very friendly and helpful. Ice tea was good also which is very important to me.

We started off with some Thai spring rolls. Then our three entrees showed up, which we split four ways. It was an excellent meal for four discerning palates. We live in St. Pete and would seriously consider devising reasons to eat here again. Seems like a good stop on the way to see family in Polk County.

Chai Yo is one of those little gems, a real find. Hidden away at the end of a plaza, it offers surprisingly good food, and pleasant friendly staff.We were with friends but my wife and I opted for cashew chicken which was very mild, but was an extremely satisfying dish. The chicken was top quality, mixed with strips of red pepper, celery, carrots etc and you can add rice....it made for a very nice dinner.It is easy to go to a fancy restaurant, but, it is very rewarding to find a nice family restaurant that offers great value and nicely made food.

Only one server, food on buffet was so-so and many of the containers were empty and this was late lunch time. Server said more food was being prepared but all that came out from the kitchen was three chicken wings. Rest of food pans were never refilled. Had to go into kitchen area to use restroom. Will not be returning.
