It's always nice to dine at one of the quiet restaurants at Lake Anne Plaza. Free parking and a low key atmosphere are always a plus. My new favorite Thai dish is Gong Obb. I loved it. I will definitely order it the next time we visit. Word of warning: The Drunken Noodles are VERY spicy. We also enjoyed the chicken satay and the spring rolls. The spring rolls were very small and they serve only three. Five would've been nice. They have wine, beer, and mixed drinks. The bar inventory is limited. Service was fine. They deliver within 3 miles.

Family owned, family cooks. Authentic Thai cuisine. Please know that we close 3:00pm to 5:00pm every day so that our hard working staff can prepare for dinner. Thank you!
Does the world really need another Thai restaurant? Maybe not, but I'm really happy that the owners of Hibiscus Thai Cuisine opened their lovely restaurant in Reston, VA. The first thing you notice is that the restaurant is bright, airy, and immaculate. The second thing you notice once you are seated is that every table is adorned with fresh cut flowers. And the third thing you'll notice is that even though there is piped-in music and a television playing behind the bar, the restaurant is relatively quiet. You don't need to speak with a raised voice in order to be heard. As far as the food is concerned, this was our first visit. But, if this experience was indicative of the overall quality, we'll definitely be back for more.We were there for lunch and portion sizes were appropriate for lunch. Not too big, not too small. Just right. I'll just give you a run down of each dish we ordered, including our drinks.Hibiscus Iced Tea for drinks. Made fresh and it's slightly sweet and not bitter at all. You can taste the freshness.Lettuce Wraps. This is a moderately spicy dish consisting of minced chicken, red onion, scallion, cilantro, and mint leaves, all tossed in spicy Thai red chili. Very clean and delicious.Massaman Curry with Pork. Also moderately spiced, this dish consists of pork, Idaho potato, and roasted peanuts in Massaman coconut curry sauce. It was excellent, but what made this dish spectacular was the rice. Normally, most Americans may not pay attention to the rice that's served alongside. This Jasmine rice was perfect. It was fragrant and not sticky or clumpy. Any restaurant that pays such close attention to detail as to make such a perfect rice gets a big thumbs up in my book. There are a lot of choices for Thai Cuisine in the Reston and Herndon area. The two long-running staples are Thai Luang and Thai Tada. The Tara Thai chain has also recently opened in Herndon. However, Hibiscus Thai Cuisine can hold it's own with any of them. The little things such as restaurant cleanliness and fresh flowers give Hibiscus Thai Cuisine a personal, homey touch. I loved it and hope you'll consider trying it.

Finally a first-class Thai restaurant comes to the Reston area. Finn Thai is the real thing. If the menu says something is Thai spicy, it is. The dishes are not "Americanized" like so many Thai restaurants in the area. The luncheon specials are a particularly good buy. The service is very good, and the restaurant is beautifully laid out. We went for lunch, but he dinner menu appears exceptionally good. We highly recommend Finn Thai, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

My lovely wife and I had lunch. I had Panang Curry and she had crispy duck. Both were excellent and for her, she asked for spicy and received it. The food is authentic. Serviced is nice. Nunu is very active and friendly with his customers.

Staff is always super friendly, and their food is delicious. My friends swear they serve the best Duck, but I prefer their Panang Curry Chicken and their Pad Thai. Their Pad Thai is the best in the entire area. Their Kanoom is fabulous with bits of crunchy garlic and the sauce is great. Don't miss it.

We had a Saturday night reservation. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed. This is the only Big Bowl outside of Illinois and Minnesota. Service was punctual. Mai tais were very good($12). Chicken satay and veggie potstickers were excellent. The shrimp pad Thai serving was big and delicious. The Bangkok shrimp and scallops entree is definitely something I would order again. Itâs a member of LEYE. Just remember you canât get dinner points on Saturday nights.
