I have been a Thai Food lover for 40 years. And, I've sampled the fare on 6 continents. I judge a good Thai restaurant by its Pad Thai noodles. Why? Because it tells me the knowledge of the chef, the attention paid to health preferences and the skill of the cooking. The flavor was good, the noodles cooked perfectly, the chicken was ample, but they were lacking in vegetables. To me a great Pad Thai comes with fresh bean sprouts, carrot pieces, chopped scallions, scrambled egg bits, peanuts and the combination of the cool fresh vegetables with the steaming hot noodles and crunchy peanuts. But this was very short of the fresh things and plentiful on the noodles. For a $16.00 dish one ought to get some veggies, don't you think? My companion had the avocado curry and thought it was very good. I can say for sure that the draught beer was cold and delicious. After a day on the pier, it was a welcome relief. Would I go again? Maybe, but with some special requests and notes to the chef.

We have eaten in every Thai restaurant in Ventura County California and it's been a long time since we ate in this one. It was refreshing and delicious. We ordered the mixed veggies with chicken and our second dish was the steamed Pompano with ginger shoots. While we were waiting for the fish (which takes a little longer to cook) we saw on the table a card that tells the chefs resume. Cooked in Thailand preparing for Palace chef, taught cooking at the University in Thailand, came to the US and worked in a couple of famous restaurants in L.A., CA and opened her own restaurant in Oxnard. Impressive. Service was great, music good, a real hidden gem.

My family and i were staying in the area for spring break and stopped to get some take out. Awesome food, very nice owners, we had, Thai fried rices, pad thai, pad prik, house lomain, and spring rolls and nothing was greasy, with good flavor. Will definitely recommend this place for a family budget dinner.
