We had a large family gathering on a reasonably tight budget. Initially we were put off by the location on Lancing Industrial Estate, but the food was exquisite, particularly the oriental and Thai, but my grandson said his steak was lovely too. The staff were very pleasant also.

Very impressive thai food. Freshly cooked to order and wholesome, also served with a smile. Not an extensive choice but what there is all good and fresh. You must pre-order and then collect from lay-by off the Old Shoreham Road.

We are a family-run authentic Thai restaurant located in central Worthing. Traditional food in Thailand is prepared in many ways - some very hot and spicy, some mild and fragrant, but all retain the unique characteristics of our country. The cooking can b
Having read reviews here, and been to Thailand several times myself, I was expecting a great meal, I was very disappointed. Nicely decorated clean restaurant, friendly staff, quickly cooked food but quality of the food wasn't generally good. Tiny place, only 30 covers, no need to book though as the food isn't very good, so even at 8pm on a Saturday night they weren't busy!Tom Yam soup tasted like fruity water, not much flavour at all, no spice in it unfortunately. Satay chicken starter tasted nice, but only a teaspoon of satay sauce provided. The menu says it's BBQ chicken and no mention of peanut sauce, that seemed most odd, it's actually grilled chicken, a very standard satay not as described (fortunately, as that really put me off). Pad Thai tasted nice, luckily not heaps of egg in it, could have done with a couple more pieces of chicken. Prawn with cashew nuts was not as described, I even checked with the waitress as to the contents of the dish as I hate peppers. She said it was like on the menu, just prawns, cashews and onions. Unfortunately it was 50% carrots and peppers! Prawns were lightly battered, they tasted nice, no liquid in the dish so it was sadly very dry. A very salty dish as well, I needed to ask for a glass of water so I could eat it. I managed to pick out the peppers, you could still taste them in the dish though. So annoying when I checked what was in it and still got peppers. No check backs, so no opportunity to tell staff about the issue.Staff prioritise phone orders over restaurant customers, even to the extent of rushing off half way through taking our order just to answer the phone! Not good service!Basil chilli chicken had a nice flavour, plenty of liquid with it too. All in all 5/10, certainly not half as good as authentic Thai food eaten in Thailand. Shame what the menu (and staff) says isn't what you actually get either. We won't bother eating here again.

Spice Thai Kitchen is an Authentic, Thai Restaurant & Takeaway also offering free delivery in the local Worthing area.
A busy Friday night (so advisable to book which we did as it is a small family run restaurant) our table was already set together with a bowl of prawn crackers - a nice touch. We had a variety of starters - the dim sum were superb - full of meat and with a lovely subtle dipping bowl. Our party had the deep fried tofu, the spicy squid and the Tom Yum Soup. All beautifully presented. Almost too much if you are ordering mains. We had wanted to try the steamed sea bass but the table next to us had the last of the evenings catch. So instead we tried the Weeping Tiger - a dish many Thai's fail with the steak being too tough or chewy. No such problem here the meat was perfect and served with a beautiful sweet sauce. A red thai seafood curry was full of mussels, prawns and squid, the Chicken Thai Yellow curry smelt delicious and the Pad Thai noodles and the Stir Fried Spinach with Ginger beautiful but almost too much. We only needed 2 bowls of rice for 4 at this stage. With a Pinot to wash this all down the bill was very reasonable and we were the last ones out feeling very full but very well fed. As this is just next door to the Brookstead well worth a pint or two before a superb Thai meal awaits.

For starters we had the chicken satay (£4.95); the sauce was very good but the meat rather bland, comprising slices of chicken breast that were insufficiently marinated, together with Thai fish cakes (£5.95) that had a good taste and texture, as did the accompanying sauce. Som Tam papaya salad (£6.95) was very good and had a reasonable background heat. Tom Yam soup with prawns (£4.95) was rather one-dimensional and a bit disappointing. The Pla Pad Char (sea bass fillet) stir-fried with chilli, oyster sauce and Thai herbs (£11.95) was tasty, but not as spicy as advertised. The Gaeng Khua red coconut beef curry (£7.95) was excellent, with a good spicy kick. Jasmine rice portions were £2.95. For dessert we had nice banana fritters with ice cream (£3.95). To drink, a decent bottle of Chilean Merlot (£19.00) and a sparkling water (£3.50). Good attentive service in a pleasant restaurant. On the whole, average to very good dishes, but recommended. The bill came to £83.95 for two, not including service.
