We ate here several times during our stay at Baan Ploy Sea Hotel. The seafood is fresh (live fish, crab, clams all being kept in separate containers with constant flow of fresh salt water) and the service is excellent. I would say that this is probably the best seafood restaurant on the island, and I would gladely eat here again. The atmosphere is also quite nice and relaxing.

My God what a wonderful place.Koh Samet best restaurant and hotelBest food, best service, the nicest staff, best location right on the beach. We were two families from Sweden who ate and drank, lunch and dinner here for 10 days. Can not recommend enough how good it is. We will certainly return. Thank you, Tot, Ton and thanks for all the cocktails and beer that John served us. Super Big thanks to all of you, the boys that served and you girls in the kitchen.Thank you sooooo much

We ate there for three nights (out of five) and we highly recommend it. The food (Thai and mixed) was fresh, delicious and was served with a smile. The staff is efficient, helpful and nice. The tables on the beach kiss the water which is a perfect place for an espresso and ice cream desert.

Loved eating here food was excellent. Sitting on the beach was a treat for the family. Service was poor as they had the kids serving and they couldn't speak English. But none the less food was great
Restaurant in the main village of Koh Samet serving excellent Pizzas and burgers, along with breakfasts and Thai Food
Went here for dinner after reading reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed. The pizza was very good - thin and crispy.Wouldâve liked to try the burgers as they had a lot of different options and looked good (we saw another table ordered one). The yellow curry was also tasty, and fried rice very good. Service was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

The Hidden Gem bar & restaurant (Pandora Resort) is located on the quieter Northern coast of Koh Samet, The Hidden Gem offers a delicious range of Western & Thai food. There are two swimming pools at the Hidden Gem so after you've eating your more than we
The place is located in the Pandora resort. The Irish chef Gary make the place for what it is. We stayed at Pandora for a week and had breakfast and lunch most of the days. Itâs well worth the money. Try the smoothies, they are stunning. English classic breakfast with good ingredients. The Thaifood are also a good choice. Pancakes yes of course. Go for it.A big thanks to Sein, the manager from Jersey who also contributed in the restaurant and made us feel more than pleased during the days. Hi Micheal, thanks for your kind review. Enjoy the rest of your time in koh samet. Hope you and the family come to visit us at The Hidden Gem again before you leave.

We stayed in two bungalows for two nights, situated right on the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious set back in the woods by the beach. There is breakfast included, plenty of choice, from eggs to noodles and lots in between. There is also a restaurant on the beach with lots of choice and tables available right on the sand. We ate there twice, good service and good food. There is Thai massage available right on the beach, not sure if itâs part of the hotel but very reasonable. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay, would definitely return.

Samed Villa Restaurant serves Pizza, BBQ, Thai and European cuisine as well as home-made cakes on one of the most romantic bay on Samet Island. You can choose to dine on the beach or on our beautiful lush tropical garden terrace with sea-view. We are well
We ate here twice and the food is good, but it does arrive late, in the wrong order with the starter 20 min after the main dish and the rice arriving when you finished the main dish already .... trying to pay the bill is another lengthy ordeal... complaints are ignored with the excuse that we are so busy.....itâs not our fault.... Staff clearly needs to be better supervised / trained and planning in the kitchen is a mess!

Right in heart of the village of Koh Samed, next to 7/11, the national park entrance, and 2 minutes walk from Had Saikaew, The Funky Monkey brings you delicious homemade pizzas and burgers, plus the finest Thai and international foods. We pride ourselves
I recently spent a holiday on Ko Samed with my daughter. We had breakfast at the Funky Monkey our second morning and returned there pretty much every day.The breakfast is great, proper bacon and as good as sausages as you get. In the evenings we chose the pizza, freshly made and super tasty.Even better than the food was the team of staff. We were made to feel welcome from the first minute we arrived.John, his partner, Nano, Stan and all the team were so friendly, so full of useful information, local and otherwise, such great company we were genuinely sad to leave. We look forward to returning to the Funky Monkey next year. Our very best wishes.Andrew and Jasmine.Dear Andrew and JasmineWhat can I say? The pleasure was all mine. It was lovely to meet you both and I really enjoyed our chats. Thank you for the amazing review, itâs very kind of you. I really hope you can make it back next year, it will lovely to see you again. Until then.....Fondest regardsJohn

Good Thai food served here although the older woman serving is a bit grumpy and you basically are given what you get. I asked for chicken in cashew nuts and garlic rice to which I got only fried rice as a response. Despite that, what I eventually got given was very tasty and the French fries are BRILLIANT! I would also recommend the battered prawns - nice and tasty. It gets very busy - we went at 5.30 and by 6.30 they were turning people away so if you want to go, I advise going early!
