We've eaten here several times and the food was all right. We always order their Tom Ka soup. It is made with Lemon Grass. It is understandable that sometimes a small piece of lemon grass winds up in the soup. This time there was an abundance of inedible, woody, stringy pieces in the soup along with leaves, etc. They insisted that was the way they made the soup. They were not apologetic, they were bordering on rude when I tried to explain that a restaurant should never put anything on the plate that cannot be eaten. I would not eat there again. I dealt with the waiter and when one of the female managers came out of the kitchen she listened to the situation but never uttered a word. This restaurant knows nothing about dining or customer service.

Hi there, Welcome to Star of Siam Thai Kitchen. We're very proud to serve Forest Hills of Queens, NY authentic Thai dishes, prepared fresh each day. At Star of Siam Thai Kitchen's, we want you to have a wonderful dining experience in a comfortable relaxed
Have been to several Thai places in the area and this one really disappoints. Had the Pad Thai which was ok but just average to below average at best. The green curry was not very good and the flavor was pretty bland. We also had the Satay chicken appetizer and one piece was like rubber and not even chewable. Will not be going back.

Worth the trip to Elmhurst Queens to sample the richly flavored Thai dishes served in this small, local restaurant. Our fave: spicy, limey Larb (with ground pork). Fabulous fried red snapper with papaya salad and anything with Penang curry are also memorable. We hear they have a location at the Chelsea Market in Manhattan but havenât checked it out yet. The chef in Queens is good enough for us!

All dishes were fresh, tasty, cooked perfectly and appetizingly presented, including the chicken satay appetizer that I did not remember to take a picture of. Portions are adequate! Our wait staff was attentive; hence, service is as good except that no knife is provided for each person.I would have rated New Pinang Excellent. The reason for rating this restaurant only Very Good is the additional charge for each cup of rice. How could anyone enjoy Malaysian food without rice?

My first visit to Nur Thai was amazing. They have the most delicious Thai coffee, great service and amazing food. Everything we tried was great - the spring rolls, veggie dumplings, the various fried rice dishes, and the pad Thai! Our server, Fadan, was so kind, helpful and very accommodating of our dietary restrictions. The prices are VERY reasonable, we each had coffee, apps and lunch for under $20 a person. We will definitely be coming back soon.

The restaurant has added more space and maintains its clean, friendly atmosphere with great service, as well as the wonderful food they offer. On this visit the family decided to be adventurous and we ate some truly scrumptious stewed pork dishes, which I heartily recommend.

We went there on Halloween for lunch. They raised their lunch special price but still very decent food and very competitive price in Forest Hills. The waiter and waitress dress up as nurses, patient and doctor, not really feeling like Halloween but rather the Scrub show, however, overall, still cheerful atmosphere. The food is still good as before. Love their spring roll and vegetable soup. I had pineapple fried rice, pretty good. will go back again.
