Reviews on Thai food in Candolim, Bardez, Goa. Candolim is just north of the Mandovi river and is home to Goa's most popular and well known resort and holiday village. As such, it's not a typical backpackers destination. The Candolim beach itself does not have much to offer when compared to its livelier neighbor, Calangute. However, if sunbathing and take the occasional dip is your thing then Candolim will offer you the perfect experience. One of the more interesting sights from Candolim beach is the bulk carrier ""River Princess"" which ran aground 100 metres offshore. While at the Candolim beach do not miss out the Aguada Fort. The fort was built by the Portuguese way back in 1912 for defense against the Dutch and the Maratha invaders. Candolim is aslo a very popular evening destination as it has a number of very good resteraunts and night clubs.

The banyan tree restaurant was a beautiful experience in itself but SANDIP provided excellent services and added to the charm of the evening. He suggested all specialties and I loved the food and drinks. I was travelling to Goa to celebrate my birthday and decided to treat myself at this amazing Thai restaurant in north Goa for my birthday dinner. To my surprise when Sandip discovered that its my birthday, they celebrated it so beautifully that I will never forget it. AMAZING staff, beautiful live music, great food. This place was all I needed on my birthday.

We usually visit once while in goa, it is on the expensive side. The service is always good the waiters polite and informative. The restaurant is peaceful with lots of space between tables.The food as ever was excellent. A vast menu which takes a bit of reading. You never feel rushed. A lovely place.

I've previously warned diners to stay away from this place because of its crazy tax and service charges additions to the bill. However I cant fault the decor or the food selection and menu available. So reluctantly I went back knowing full well the menu price would get bumped up by up to 30%. So I knew what to expect. I cant fault the pleasant surroundings which are perfect for couples and large parties. The food is delicious and can be as hot or mild as you wish. The portions are plentiful and filling. Then comes that nasty bill!
