Really enjoyed our evening here. Staff are good, not intrusive but attentive. I arrived late due to funeral traffic and they kindly gave us more of the very delicious crackers. They really are yummy! We all ordered. There was something 'no' in each order plus we ordered different levels of spice. All arrived correctly. We didn't order desserts but had teas and coffees. Definitely be back. Decor not the best but we were there for an early evening catchup so we didn't care.

Great portions, staff are very accommodating and friendly. Great value in their early bird menu, the portions are very generous and you definitely get your value for money! The selection of starters is delicious and very big, filled me up before my main course. My main course was massive but they put it in a takeaway box for me so I was able to enjoy it again the next day!

We had our second takeaway from the Royal Bengal last night, and we weren't disappointed however felt that there was something lacking. Now, don't get me wrong - the food is tasty and I can't say that we didn't enjoy it but we did feel that it wasn't bursting with flavour. I had a Butter Chicken, but it felt like it was lacking something. Maybe not enough Cashews, or Kasuri Methi when being prepared - note: I make my own butter chicken at home, always so maybe I'm comparing to my home cooking but I would expect an Indian restaurant to far surpass my own cooking.I did enjoy it though, I just felt it was missing something. My wife really enjoyed hers and there was just the right amount of spice to the meal too.We will definitely order again, as there isn't much choice for good Indian cuisine in Ballincollig but Royal Bengal is definitely the best in the area. Much nicer than the Indian in Kerry Pike, and any other around :-).
