Find out what Swiss restaurants to try in Zug. Zug (German: Zug, [tsuːk] ( listen); French: Zoug; Italian: Zugo; Romansh: Zug; Neo-Latin Tugium), is an affluent municipality and town in Switzerland. The name Zug originates from fishing vocabulary; in the Middle Ages it referred to the right to pull up fishing nets and hence to the right to fish.

I've been here many times over the past years. The cordon bleu is delicious. I prefer the one with bacon and a mixed salad, as having french fries with such a large piece of meat is rather heavy. The Sunday brunch is also hearty. It is a nice, family oriented restaurant which provides a good opportunity to experience a good meal in a rural "Swiss" ambiance.I noticed that the prices have gone up quite a bit this year, but it is still an excellent deal.

A good choice of different varieties of meat, try the lamb in a cover of parmesan cheese - just delicious. Nice place in the middle of nowhere serving a good taste.

We visited Hafenrestaurant on Saturday, 06 April 2019 and had very attentive and friendly service with little waiting time, the complete opposite of what some people write on TripAdvisor. The food presentation and quality was absolutely in line with our expectations - freshly prepared, of very good quality and visually appealing. Together with the beautiful view of Lake Zug and the Rigi, we had a lovely lunch and would not hesitate to come back. However, as Hafenrestaurant is a very popular spot on sunny days, I think that visitors should expect that the service personnel do their very best to accommodate everyone but that not everything can happen instantly. If you have different expectations, I would recommend that you visit another restaurant in the area.

Enjoy homemade local delicacies in a marvelous, welcoming atmosphere. With more than 1,000 different wines (at the best prices in the canton of Zug), you will certainly find your personal favorite from our cellar. For the hot summer days our restaurant is
We had a team dinner at the restaurant - overall good food and good service. The appetisers were nice, main courses good, and the cheese tray was great! The highlight of dinner was the drinks cart with a great selection of locally made kirsh!Dear DoronMany thanks for your feedback!Very happy that you enjoyed your dinner in our restaurant. You are right: our cheese tray is something special. I regularly take the cheese in France at the famous fromagerie Antony in Alsace. I am happy that you liked it.I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you soon again in our restaurant au premier and remain with kind regards Matthias Hegglin, Owner

Parkhotel Restaurant An elegant, classical ambiance combined with exquisite food and exceptional service. The Parkhotel restaurant serves the highest quality farm-fresh foods - delicious appetizers, unbeatable meat variations, unique fish and seafood spec
I wanted to share with you our feedback on the Georgia Dinner Evening this past Saturday night. My husband and I had a wonderful evening. This was our first time experiencing Georgian food. What a treat. The textures, spices and tastes were fabulous. The wine was delightful. The cornbread on the starter plater was a bit to hard to eat. For the main course my husband had the beef and I had the chicken. The beef was tasty but the chicken was bland - lacked flavor. Not sure if this is how Georgian chicken is supposed to taste. The presentation of the food was beautiful. The appetizer plater was yummy. Each sample was delightful and enjoyable. The soup was delicous. We both LOVED the bread. Dessert was truly a pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure if I was going to like a jelly type dessert but the flavor was fabulous. Our server was Anna. Anna was also our server for your Lebanese evening too. For both dining experiences Anna was truly a professional. She was efficent and polite and was marvelous with her English. She competently answered all our questions and made our dining experience a fun and relaxing evening. Julie also assisted at our table too. She was polite and professional. Julie also spoke English very well. Compliments to both Anna and Julie and the Georgian Team for a wonderful dining experience. We hope the Park Hotel will continue to do more of these cultural dining experiences.Thank you to all!

For many decades the restaurant âBärenâ has been the meeting point for the people of Zug. In the restaurant Bären you can find traditional home â made food. The Entrecôte served on a hot stone» as well as the famous «Cordon Bleu» â offer are the Bären-Cla
This is an excellent, very busy schnitzel house with a good array of cordon bleu. My selection was filled with ham and rachlete cheese - cooked to perfection. My colleague had a delightful steak on a hot stone. The place seemed popular with both locals and expats. Without a doubt, the best meal I had over 3 nights in Zug.

After walking every street to end our Swiss-trip with a Fondue on our last night, we gave in to the tourist trap and went for a crowded, by the water restaurant with great views of old bridge. We ordered the fondue like most tables, but having eaten it so many times including making it myself, this was the most disappointing one I had. Possibly using the cheaper mix of cheese and no wine in it. Would not recommended for a big meal but ok for a snack, great place for a drink

After a lacklustre visit to Kunsthaus Zug, we really needed a morale boost. We found it at the Rathauskeller. Fresh, very local fish from the Zugersee and old classics are services with competence and care. One can't go wrong here. Strong wine list too, with Swiss bottles, some of which are quite rare and very interesting.

Tradition gepaart mit gastronomischer Qualitat und einzigartigem Ambiente.
This is a place that I have eaten several times and never had anything less than an excellent meal.Private room with very festive decoration. The food was all good, but a special mention to the Bisque dâHomard and the Tournedos Rossini. Meat is always good here, but this time it was particularly succulent and tender. Bravo!Great wines and friendly and efficient service.Highly recommend, as ever!

We've been there many times since this facility was converted from farm to kindergarten to restaurant some 30 years ago and our assessment remains stable. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of Lake Zurich; inside is a cozy wood-paneled "Stubbe" atmosphere - or an equally cozy atmosphere in their wine cellar, which is the real trade of the house; just their food is uneven, some original ideas very well prepared but occasionally you hit something really strange and distasteful. Our latest experience was however perfect: a trout!
