The BADSTUBE Restaurant Cafe Winehouse is a medieval house that dates back to 1434, when it was the first bathouse mentioned in the kanton of schaffhausen - it is in the tradition of these bathouses that the decoration of the main restaurant is made - on
We have a quick lunch in this restaurant when our cruise ship arrived Stein am Rhein. The restaurant has both indoor or open sittings while in the latter case, you could have better views on the riverside. The food in general was acceptable with reasonable price but the staff were a bit slow in action as we have to hurry up with our tour elsewhere.

Perfectly located right at the upper end of the picturesque main street on Town Hall square, at the foot of the town hall. We just stopped in for drinks in the outside area, had friendly service and enjoyed our drinks and even more so the ambience with the spectactular view of all the painted building facades.
We are a cozy smoker restaurant. Non-smokers feel comfortable in the separated area. Our kitchen is open 24 hours and offers soups, salads, snacks, sandwiches and weekly activities. On sunny days, our garden offers a quiet place in a beautiful old town al
Unlike most of the other restaurants in Stein am Rhein, the Gutenberg is actually affordable and weâre so glad we found it! Tucked away off the main tourist trail but within the historic centre of town, itâs a gem for those who explore. Weâd spotted it when wandering the streets and noticed the menu had an English translation but also that the prices were significantly less than elsewhere and it still sounded really tasty. So we returned and were treated to a delicious dinner - schnitzel, fries and salad, and curried rice with vegetables. We were the only tourists and it was really nice to experience the bar/restaurant with the locals for a more authentic experience. The staff (and locals) were really friendly and the waiter spoke English. The only thing to mention is that they did smoke in the bar area. Many thanks for the nice words. we hope we could make your experience of Stein am Rhein as a good, enjoyable and affordable holiday destination :)

Hotel restaurants are normally not my thing. This one is one of the rare exceptions: Fresh, tasty food, presented in a very appealing way with innovative accents, that never take over - after all, you are here for the food. I was here with a party of 15 business associates and the six course dinner found nothing but praise.

A fine dining restaurant in the historic center of Stein am Rhein with great meat specialities like hot stone and beef (or salmon) skewer, but also smaller, more common menues. We have comfortable places for groups up to 90 people and some nice places in
We visited Stein am Rhein last weekend and we stopped there for lunch. I was afraid to find lots of tourist traps. We finally decided to eat in Salmensübli and it was a pleasant surprise! The service is excellent: they always had a big smile for us! The food was very tasty and the price was correct for the quality they serve. Plus they serve big quantities so overall I was very happy about everything and we totally recommend this restaurant to others!Thank you, dear MFVal for your positive feedback. We enjoy to hear that you liked our meals and Ssrvice. Thank you very much for your recommendation and great words for our Restaurant. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your lunch at our house. Wishing you all the best for further trips and maybe some day again in Stein am Rhein. Best greetings.

It can be tricky to serve freshwater fish on top level for a group of about 50 people. Here, they reached the goal, and we were amazed about the high level of the kitchen. This well-known and experienced restaurant provides a friendly and professional staff and delicate products. Recommendable.

âHospitality, coupled with professional service and first-class cuisine, is at the top of our menu.â
The food was great and of course, it is not cheap because we are in Switzerland. Nonetheless the food quality was great. The staffs are friendly and the service is good :)

This is my first review about a fastfood/take-away....trusting the good reviews on TA and the many clients having a snack here, we gave it (Imbiss) a tryCorrect food&drink for an ok price.(Greek salad was fresh and crisp)This fastfood is however more of a meat&"meet" place ... it offers different choices of sausages (OLMA, curry wurst etc)Stein am Rhein is really a touristic hotspot and the "Imbiss" is a good option for a quick pitstop ;)

Absolutely stunning views over Stein am Rhine. Restaurant is top quality food and service and definitely the best in the area in my opinion. Roman the owner is extremely friendly and even gave us an impromptu tour of the castle after dinner which was great. Book early for a terrace table but, the inside is just as good if you don't get one. Highly recommended as a must place to go and eat and very romantic at night too.
