Find out what Swiss restaurants to try in Rheinfelden. Rheinfelden (Swiss German: Rhyfälde, [ˈɾiːfæld̥ə]) is a municipality in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland, seat of the district of Rheinfelden. It is located 15 kilometres east of Basel. The name means the fields of the Rhine, as the town is located on the Hochrhein. It is home to Feldschlösschen, the most popular beer in Switzerland. The city is across the river from Rheinfelden in Baden-Württemberg; the two cities were joined until Napoleon Bonaparte fixed the German–Swiss border on the Rhine in 1802 and are still socially and economically tied.

My husband and I decided to check this restaurant out while we were walking around the beautiful town of Rheinfelden. We were looking for a peaceful spot overlooking the Rhein to sip a cup of coffee while escaping from the cold winter air. I ordered a cup of coffee and he ordered hot chocolate. We were quite disappointed at what we were served, though. The coffee was cold and bitter, and my husband received a glass of lukewarm milk and a package of hot cocoa mix for his hot chocolate. This restaurant is very classy and has beautiful views of the Rhein River, and I am sure that the food is delicious. However, I think that some improvements could be made to their approach to hot beverages.

We love to come here after a morning at Solo Uno. The pizza rösti are so good and unlike any other rösti that we have had in Basel! Service is warm and kind- the beer is cold and reasonably priced. Very cozy dining room in the winter or terrace seating in warm weather.

Rip- off prices, poor service, and the toilets were disgusting with no soap, no hot water, no towels, and no lock on the door! No wonder the staff were so miserable! There were no prices for a glass of wine on the menu so we were shocked to be charged â¬8 each, in a city where the average price is â¬3. Don't go anywhere near this place!Dear Kevin DWe are sad that you had a bad restaurant experience, but we are not sure if you meant our Restaurant Gambrinus in Rheinfelden. If you do, we would like to correct some things: We do not only have towels at our restrooms, but also an dyson airblade drier if there are no towels left. Of course we have hot water too, and our wine card is very good clarified with a beautiful wine description, inclusively the prices. Also there is no bar or restaurant in and around Rheinfelden (I would even say Switzerland) , where you'll get a glass of wine for only â¬3, we absolutely don't have rip-off prices. We hope to see you again so we can convince you of our good food, drinks and friendly service. We wish you a beautiful day, greetings, the Gambrinus-Team.

The interior of the restaurant feels very cosy. When it's warm outside one can sit at the balcony which is just above the flowing water of the Rhein. The food is excellent. Besides Lebanese food, the restaurant also serves local cuisine. My friend from Hong Kong enjoyed herself very much.

White everywhere is good but you don't know if you have dinner in a restaurant or in a shop. The owner is a part of the building: very singular, when you talk with her in english, she answer to you in deutch. Tables with a lot of things on: candles, salt+pepper, glasses, seastars, big napkins...a bit confused. Bathrooms (downstairs) kitsch as well. Food: nothing special except a faboulous meat.Restaurant for young couples, not recommended for families with babies (they have no baby chairs), no conditioned air, no kind service.

The restaurant is part of.the Feldschlösschen brewery and has a great locaocstion overlooking the Rheinfelden Valley. I visited this place multiple time and the food was always good. Especially the special beef offerings are superb, although you pay a ++price. Good selection of beers from the brewery group and nice wines. For the summer period they have a great terrace. Good for business, couples and family dinners.

The food is amazingly good but the ambiance in this classy hotel is zero. We had a drink outside before we entered the restaurant. Nice selection of food. Everyone should be able to find something and all dishes cooked perfectly. Staff was friendly and ok. But there was really nothing with any wow factor... and that is a missed opportunity.

We had lunch / cake in Casablanca outside on a sunny Saturday. The waiter was very friendly, attentive and caring. I had a Marktsalat with jacket potatoes with an exceptionally nice house dressing that came in an extra little bottle - nice touch. My friend had one of their cakes and coffee. We were both very pleased and would definitely come back when in Rheinfelden.

I made a reservation for my B-day for a dinner at 9 PM for 7 guest, by leaving a message in their answering machine. Unfortunately It was not taken in consideration, then when I arrived at 9.00 they said were about to close, ( although there were still people being served in some tables around ). Because I remarked and after requesting again, and again with smiles and good manners, they made an exception of only cooking pizzas. We had them, but they were brought ONE by ONE.The sense of customer care and attention is left to the minimum. The woman in charged only came with a rude manner and although I do speak German and understand Swiss/German, she was much into the point to speak as understandable as possible. The rest of the service, a clerk who spoke our language -Spanish- was completely ignoring the gap and did not helped at all.The table was not set, and we had to set it up ourselves ... while the service was just talking each other.Of course I did not tip, nor I will return...Unfortunately BAD birthday celebration that they not even tried to make it more "nice"
