Lovely welcome from two friendly and helpful sisters. Gave us a sample of the soup to get round the language difficulty. It was superb. Not unlike the sauce in a musulman curry in our favourite Thai restaurant. They even asked the chef what the ingredients were when we showed an interest. The decor is attractively interesting and the atmosphere was great. We really enjoyed our visit and would strongly recommend it.Thank you Stephen. We were pleased to have you as our guests. Beatrice

Very good and big choice of menus during lunch time! About seven to eight different menus at a price range from 18.00 to circa 28.00 swissfrancs. Decent menus a la carte during evening hours. Offers a nice outside area during the summer months.

Exclusively à la carte dishes are served in an elegant atmosphere. An extensive wine list is available for the guest's appreciation.
We have eaten at Bad Bubendorf twice now and found the restaurant to be very appealing to the eye but disappointing to the palette. Based on Kantonsstrasse it has a prime position and attracts a large number of diners. The restaurant itself is very attractive, a pleasing contrast of old and new, blended together in the summer with ample outside seating in a lush green setting and a wintergarten that is very light and airy for the cooler seasons. We have visited the restaurant on two occasions and whilst service has been great, the overall impression was that the food was disappointing. Our impression is that some of the plates have two many flavour combinations making the dishes somewhat confused and on the last occasion when I chose Lamb Backli from the regular menu, the meat was served with no colour which made it resemble Veal and the quality of the meat was extremely poor.No doubt we will try a third visit at sometime in the future but we have eaten better quality at lower prices elsewhere. I get the impression that this restaurant trades on its location.

If you are looking for tasteful menue with an insalada caprese or a freshly made minsestrone, original pasta or a decent piece of meat, going with a nice Italian red wine and maybe tiramisu in a stylish surrounding ... that's where should go.

The "Baselbuieter Stübli" since 1926 was in the restaurant "Escale", in the head construction of the exibition building Basel. Traditional assembled there at the âThe Baselbieter Dayâ of the "Muba" the political top brass of the land canton and some journ
I booked a table here thanks to an advice and got rewarded with a very good dinner: relaxed atmosphere, delicious food, friendly service. The restaurant comprises of two rooms: the bright âTaverneâ and the wooden âStübliâ. I sat in the latter - a cozy and beautiful dining room. Congrats to the waiter - Mr Hartmann - for his welcoming, smiling and efficient service during the entire dinner. The menu puts focus on popular and traditional Swiss specialties. As I visited during game season, the menu also included venison dishes. As starter I chose the fagottini with truffles and truffle oil - delicate and delicious. As main course I had the deer schnitzel served with all the trimmings. Tasty and very generous portion. Unreasonably I indulged myself with a homemade Nougat-Parfait as dessert. Very good, indeed. On the downside prices are on the higher side, reflecting the proximity to Basel. The bill amounted to CHF84 - admittedly not to everyoneâs budget, but the great food and even greater service are well worth it.

The place undergone full renovation, only opened two weeks ago. It is splendid. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Beds are as great as at home, maybe better. Excellent bed linens and blankets. Very nice restaurant, great selection of wines. Great for private dinners and small seminars.
