A bit more up market than than all the other restaurants I visited for lunch, but this was for an evening meal. There were families, couples and us a business dinner, all suited this place fine. We were there when it was dark, but we could still see the small town on the other side of the lake all lit up. The décor was of a nice quality hotel/restaurant and the food served was great, typical Delia Smith style food in my opinion. About 30 minutes ride from Zurich, located in a small village you will find this typical countryside restaurant. Familie owned. Great food. When we came in, the "Chef" Richard and his wife Margrit were standing behind the buffet and gave us a warm welcome. We had a green salad and a mixed salad as entree. Main dish was sliced veal liver with hash brown "Swiss Style" and the other main dish was a veal cordonbleu with fries. Everything was very good. We can highly recommand this lovely typical and local restaurant. We will come again.

The restaurant unfortunately is not the most romantic, but it does have a very nice modern interior.We were two pairs celebrating an anniversary and asked the chef to just create what he had and thought best for us.It is most extraordinary how Werner Tobler brings out every flavor suited to a dish. We have eaten in some of the best gourmet restaurants from France to northern Germany but his cuisine I like best. Not artificially over-enhanced, just really special, the Chef is a magician of cooking and the dishes are also beautiful to look at.The wine selection is not extensive, but very fitting to the meal, the service very attentive and friendly.His book with fantastic recipies, which can be created even if one is not a master cook, is also highly recommendable.An exceptional evening which we won't forget.

We went to Vogelsang for breakfast buffet and gladly give an excellent rating. The restaurant is beautifully located above lake sempach, has a spacious terrace with a nice view, the service was super friendly and the food very good. All of this for a very reasonable price. We will definitively come again.

Four of us went to enjoy dinner at this lovely place. The ambiance, the design and positive energy at this location lifts you to a new place. This gem is well hidden, but worth the drive. - We had a tasty appetizer outside in the sun , before we entered the nicely decorated restaurant. The first surprise already, as we did not expect to see something so modern within the farmhouse itself.The people are friendly and you can choose between a 4 or 5 course surprise menu. 2 of us were veggetarians, and the menu was adjusted accordingly without a problem.Each course was splendid. Every dish was prepared with love. The prices are a bit on the upper side. However, if you think what lovely adventure you are taking your senses on, its worth the price. Would definitely come back.
Sonnmatt ist ein Kurhotel 4* - Restaurant und Medizinalische Residenz 5*. Das Areal ist grossartig mit schöner Aussicht auf den Bergen. Wir waren hier für einen Spaziergang im schönen Park und dann für ein Tee und dessert. Nächstes Mal werden wir sicher hier Mittagessen.Es war wirkliche eine schöne Entdeckung.PS: der Preis ist normal

As I visit Switzerland quite often, I have come to trust the Swiss ââGilde Gourmetââ guide when looking for traditional restaurants with nice food and pleasant atmosphere. Braui is undoubtedly one of them; the brasserie-like dining room boasts a cozy and relaxed feeling, in which you can enjoy either a full dinner or simply a couple of drinks. Thumbs-up to the service team for the friendly and smiling service throughout the dinner. The menu puts focus on seasonal produce and local suppliers. As starter I had the Lucerne-style asparagus i.e. served warm with ham, almond and a creamy sauce. Good and generous portion. As main course I chose the veal steak in a morchel sauce - truly a highlight as the steak was very tender and came out as a much generous portion! As sweet I indulged myself with a refreshing rhubarb and strawberry salad. On the downside Switzerland has always had a high price structure, even in the countryside, and Braui is no exception. The bill amounted to CHF96. Despite the good food and service, this is definitely pricey and admittedly not to everyoneâs budget.

Beautiful traditional Swiss chalet ambiance. Clean toilettes. Friendly staff. Traditional Swiss meal. I was with my family and they have enjoyed some fish for the two little children while I ate some steamed meat with vegetables. Meat was very soft and considering how critical I am with meat I have to admit that it was very well cooked with my utmost happiness. The restaurant is conveniently located about 10-15 min away from the highway A2 southbound.
