Reviews on Swedish food in Norrtalje, Stockholm County, Sweden. This city forms part of Roslagen, one of the coastal areas of the Uppland province about 80 km northeast of Stockholm. Unlike many of the islands in the archipelago, Norrtälje is an attractive year-round destination. With a variety of quaint shops, art museums and galleries, cafés, and some small live music venues, this island is definitely worth a visit. The yearly “Jazz Days” festival gives the island a charming flair and offers travelers the opportunity to really enjoy the Swedish summer sun. Fly fishing is also popular on the island, while there are a few stores that sell bait and tackle. Hostels are open all year, a bonus for those on a budget. Buses run frequently from Stockholm to Norrtälje.

We had a Bowl with salmon and beans, ginger, avocado and salad, very well presemted and good taste. You were very well treated by the staff, they were really trying to meat your wishes.
"For the love of food, drinks and the free perspective" In Norrtälje Hamn harbor, close to the water. Hope to see you soon.
Lovely spot on the water with a great dinning room. Large windows flank all sides, allowing you to take in the surrounding area with natural light pouring in. Service was great I received my food quickly. The calf steak and vegetables were delightful. Cooked to perfection. Light and satiating, I was ready to continue my photo walk, replenished.

A wonderful restaurant especially in the summer when you can sit outside on the big deck looking out over the sea. Good food, great views and (hopefully) sunshine. What more can you ask for.
In this restaurant I ordered a fish dish (fish with shrimps and small boiled potatoes). The food was good but rather simply arranged, I expected something a little bit more "creative". The shrimps were a bit too small. The fish was fine.On the whole, the service is OK but very slow: I had to wait for the ordered fish dish for some 40-45 minutes. I don't think it's good to wait do long, especially taking into account the simplicity of the dish, not many customers to serve for several waiters.
With fine views across the islands on the edge of the archipelago towards the open sea, the little restaurant Arholma Nord has a big heart. The lunchtime special consists of two types of tapas (salmon, smoked shrimps, wild boar, etc.) and a generous mixed salad with a range of dressings. Coffee is included in the price and cakes can be purchased too. Service is relaxed and friendly. It was a windy day when we visited, so we sat inside with other diners at long tables. There's also a large terrace for grills served of an evening... well worth making a detour off the beaten track!

Dillkött enligt barndomens minnen. Veckan innan var det hemgjorda kroppkakor på menyn. Pizzorna är fantastiska och grillkvällarna är smakrika. Ett familjelivet företag med smak och kvalitet som främsta vapen.

This restaurant has a good selection of food. From a simple burger to a nice piece of fish. We had local smoked shrimps for a starter, really tasteful. You don't find that everywhere! Then we had salmon for main, also locally smoked; one of the best pieces of salmon I ever had. And another fish (Gosfile) which was also good. The menu is in Swedish, which I can't read being Dutch but the waitress translated the whole menu. So we had a really good diner with reasonable prices beer and excellent service.

Four of us had Saturday afternoon dinner here. After waiting about 10 minutes for a table we were seated. Menu was varied and interesting including seafood, meat and non meat dishes. The cuisine ranged from typical Swedish (Toast Skagen) to spicy pulled pork and stops in between. The dishes were nicely done and nicely presented but the service was slow considering they weren't full. Price was mid range. I would go back

So we met with some friends for drinks here and things got off to a bad start when it took about 15 minutes to be served at the bar......we were actively ignored......which was empty but with only one server who was preoccupied making Irish coffees. Wine list was okay actually and decking area nice to sit out on BUT the basics of hospitality were missing. The food looked good but if you are looking for a bar that serves passing trade, I would look elsewhere. Also, there is a key pad to get into the loo. Weird.

This is a traditional Swedish cafe with a good selection of drinks, food and sweet stuff. The grilled sandwich was lovely although too salty. It was incredibly busy and the ordering and payment are not set up for the place to be full so prepare to wait.

Nice location on an island that can be reached by boat from Räfsnäs, Rådmansö. The restaurant is located outdoors next to a historic mansion. Bigger groups can be entertained inside an extension to the mansion. Excellent food and very nice, friendly and personal service. My wife and I participated this summer in a birthday party counting more than 50 guests. The kitchen could manage this without any problem. We have been at Lidö earlier as individual guests - also leaving with a positive mind-set.
