We dined here with 2 families of 4 and everyone loved it. The food was faultless and reasonably priced. Its difficult in Nozawa (in January at least) to get restaurants for 8 people so try to book in advance. We popped our head in a couple of days before and secured a booking.

Nice little restaurant with a seating area with tatami mats and tables where you have to take your shoes off and a bar area where you can sit and watch the sushi being prepared. Mostly traditional sushi on the menu that is freshly made and tastes great. Reasonably priced and can get busy.

Our family of four were in Yuzawa for a few days skiing stayingbat Naspa. But food in Naspa was so-so, catering mainly to its captive market of hotel ski packages so we made plans to dine out every nite. But many restaurants in Yuzawa dont take reservations just walkins but Kamakura does.Abt 100m past the train station but so worth it.It was full on a sunday nite and a few locals were turned away. Lucky we made a reservation via naspa. We ordered almost everything off the menu.We ordered the DIY wagyu beef grilled over a hot stone. It was so good that we wanted a 2nd order but they ran out.The robotaki was well done, smoky and yet still succulent. The copper kettle rice was just niigata rice done plain and simple, u will savour every grain. Rice will never be the same again.Sashimi was as fresh as you can find in japan.Even the humble karaage fried chicken was cracking and yet still juicy inside.Yuzawa may be a small town but it was a croaching tiger hidden dragon in Kamakura. And all that came to just jpy9k. Less than buffet dinner for 1 pax at naspa.

We go to Yuzawa about once a year, and always eat here at least 2-3 times. It´s a nice shop with friendly staff and really good sushi. If you don´t know any japanese they have an english menu and also the staff offers their help to order from the chefs in the middle of the conveyorbelt (if they are not too busy, i think). You can of course pick the small sushi-plates from the belt if you don´t feel like ordering directly from the sushi chefs. I recommend the negitoro rolls (minced fatty tuna & green onion) and the more expensive o-toro and chu-toro nigiri (fatty tuna belly). They melt in your mouth.
