As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 39,776, reflecting an increase of 516 (+1.3%) from the 39,260 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 1,435 (+3.8%) from the 37,825 counted in the 1990 Census. As of 2010 it was the second-most populous among the 70 municipalities in Bergen County, behind Hackensack, which had a population of 43,010.

Visited this charming little kosher sushi bar 3 times during my 3 week stay in Teaneck. Service was efficient and prices reasonable (except when you convert them back to South African Rands !). The sushi rolls were amazing- far superior to anything available in Cape Town. Somehow we seem to have fallen behind when it comes to sushi. All our other food however is waaaay better in South Africa !!!!

One of the best buffets we have been too. The bad news is that it is on the expensive side but, just for the sushi & sashimi alone may be worth it. They have some great variety...definitely a few steps above the normal buffet. Worth a visit!Hi ! We appreciate for your kind grading on us. The place was jammed. We had two types of Sushi, one very good, the other excellent. The main dishes were different, especially the oxtail, and very interesting. But the noise! One could hardly hear himself talking. Service, too, was somewhat slow.

The menu options and presentation in the menu are terrific. Unfortunately "terrific" doesn't apply to the execution. Our appetizers were cold. Not warm. Cold. The steak I ordered medium rare. My dinner came about seven minutes after everyone else's in our party. When it came, it was just above raw. And also cold. Forget sizzling. Cold. When the others in my party urged me to send it back, I passed, because I didn't want them to wait any longer. So I hated an expensive dinner. And the service? Atrocious. We didn't get a waitress or waiter to our table for almost an hour. I complained where is the waitress? She came right over with an extreme attitude. Couldn't crack a smile and never came over to ask if everything was ok. Will never come back. Very, very disappointed.

This place is a favorite. The sushi is always fresh and very tasty. With the conveyor belt for sushi, it is also a quick opinion. The sushi on the belt is just as fresh as if you order. Service is friendly and prompt. With the recent remodel, they added private rooms which seat 4 to 14. What a fun place to have a small gathering.

Located just off of Cedar Lane, Empire Hunan offers a nice experience in Chinese and Japanese food. Prices are moderate, service was friendly and the food tasted great. BYOB, there is a liquor store across the street. Parking is on Cedar Lane, metered, or on side streets, no meters.
