This was our first time at the Ocean Cellar in Swakopmund and our experience was terrific....the service with Egon as we approach was excellent... the food amazing... breath taking....delicious.... OMG....quick service....a very clean place.... the wine superb....the bill adeguate to this ocean view restaurant. We will definitely return! Thank you. This place does not look of much and the interior is very modest. However, do not be fooled by the first impression. Seafood is excellent, fresh and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended restaurant.

had to book a lunch because dinner was fully booked (as usual). they run their tables like there's no tomorrow; fast, fast, fast.portions are sizeable but quality of the food was so so. Especially the sushi, salmon didnt taste good and they drown the sushi in cocktail sauce.after An hour we were outside again, having paid too much for what it actually was. the restaurant that sits at the beginning of the pier turned out to be a way better choice the next Day.

Nice atmosphere, not crowded. Friendly polite staff. I went here on my first night and very much liked it. On my second night in Swakopmund, I tried the more busy/crowded The Tug. There were no seats, so I happily went back to the Cosmopolitan. I had the Beef Filet with Saffron and Pink Peppercorn. It was at least as good as any steak I've had in the USA in years. I had a generous glass of Cabernet, salad, bread, still water, and the aforementioned steak for NAD 235 which I found very reasonable. Highly recommend this place for dinner.

This was my second time to try their sushi and I was very impressed with the service they give us. We were 6 people and we ordered 3 salmon platters and it took us only few minutes to get our sushi. The sushi was on point and love their fresh wasabi . Friendly staffs and I am strongly recommend this place.
