We are on a 8-days vacation in the Gold Coast. My daughters just love Japanese food, in particular the Udon.Stumbled upon Sushi Ave while walking along Surfers Paradise. The food was good, well prepared from the Udons to the Shashimis. Taste good & fresh.We ended up coming to this place 2 more times over the course of 8 days.Highly recommended due to the food quality & reasonable prices.

A sublime experience. Great sized portions of aburi salmon, gluten-free no trouble. They even have a separate, bespoke GF menu. Wonderfully eclectic choic of drinks. We had the sangria, but we're torn between that and four types of sake. Staff were delightful, polite and attentive but not intrusive. Kids also loved it. As others have said, the bill can be a surprise if you don't keep an eye on what you're ordering. It's also close (across the road) from the Slingshot, Vomatron and trampoline and putt putt - so, very handy if you want a nice thrill-seeking evening out.

The kids in particular like the style of the train. We were staying at the Trilogy Apartments nearby and ducked in here while we were waiting on our room.The service is good, the beer is gold and orders not on the train were made/cooked quickly. The sushi itself was fine, very fresh and made very well.It's a great location and despite being on the main drag not too noisy. Well worth a visit. They have a lot of other Japanese cuisine so don't be shy.

Great menu sushi, traditional Japanese dishes. Service was prompt. Food portions were excellent. Good selection of speciality drinks. Prices were extremely reasonable - i wold call it lower than expected given it's location between the SkyTower and Voco hotel area. Cute take out on the side of the sushi bar on a revolving food train.

My partner and I decided to try this place based on their whisky selection, the magic Bar man had an extensive knowledge and was generous (except they ran out of watermelon foam for my cocktail lol) then we were taken to our table that has an exquisite Japanese ambience and the service was impeccable. We chose the set menu to have a try of everything and there wasnât one part f the entire meal we could fault!
