Jasmine

This is a favorite for date night. We never leave disappointed or unsatisfied. I love to try the drink specials. All the food here is good, so I have a hard time choosing but usually end up ordering my tried and true favorite, the Kentucky Roll. I happen to love sushi, but this is a great dish for those not fond of fish. There is something for everyone at Jasmine. Definitely would not pass this place up!

We had dinner on a Thursday night. We were warmly greeted and immediately seated. The place was basically empty. They have a great menu. Lots of appetizers. We ordered a volcano roll, salad, Teriyaki Chicken and hibachi beef noodles. It was awesome. The couple with us ordered a Cowboy roll. It was grossly under cooked. Our waitress was great. The portions are Hugh! We will definitely be back

Tokyo Sushi

I was in town on business when I stumbled upon Tokyo Sushi. Apparently they have a Tokyo Hibachi across the street, but I wanted sushi. It is a very non-descript store front. I dont think the decor was pulling in any new customers.I was alone so they asked if I wanted to sit at the sushi bar. I'm cool with that becuase it gives me a bit of an insight in the workings of the place. That might have been my mistake. The bar was in the back side of the place. They had an older sushi chef that apparently didnt speak much english which is a good sign. They had about 8-10 seats including a few that wrapped around the corner of the bar. The end nearest the kitchen was apparently their prep and holding area for take out orders. Imagine having 5 bags of takeout on your table a seat down from where you are eating. Their bus/POS station was facing the restaurant instead of having it somewhat hidden from the dining area. Combine that with the waitresses that congregated around the area to sort out everything and it made for an unplesent experience. I wouldn't say that it was a matter of cleanliness, but more lack of respect for your patrons. How could you not see a problem with any of this? The food was overshadowed by the experience, but it was mostly acceptable. Good serving size and fresh. They needed to debone the eel a littler better becuase I found 4-5 pin bones in the meat. The roll I had was good, crunch, and spicy enough. That was the best part of the meal.Service was sketchy. They were busy, so the food came out a bit slow. Kept my glass full, but disappeared when it was time to get a check and pay. Other items maybe better. It did look like they tried. They need to sort out the take out some where else and they need to do somethin different with their stand next to the bar. They have decorated everything well, but to miss these glaring issues is kind of crazy.Good luck and Happy Travels!
