Reviews on Sushi food in Messina, Province of Messina, Italy. At Sicily’s northeast tip, Messina is the first city being kicked by mainland Italy’s boot, just three miles across the Strait of Messina. It's a main port of entry for visitors via hydrofoils and ferries. Trains board the ferry, too, before continuing service. The 12th-century Norman cathedral, rebuilt after a 1908 earthquake destroyed it and much of the town, is the most famous attraction.

Japanese Restaurant-Catering
So happy to see some more "ethnic" food options in Sicily. Fresh authentic sushi in a cute little restaurant in the downtown area of Messina. A little on the pricey side, but comparable to other sushi restaurants. It seems to fill up quickly, so it would be wise to reserve a table ahead of time.

Love's Sushi Bar is the right place if you look for the best sushi in town. Be surprised by our chef proposal of classic sushi and fusion handmade with our sicilian fresh fish.
If you are a serious sushi lover, Love's sushi bar will satisfy your every craving. Their extensive menu boasts a diversity of options ranging from classic uramaki and nigiri to innovative, mouth-watering fusion gunkan, hosomaki and much more. Also make sure to ask if there are off menu items, because they often offer specialties that depend on fish availability and seasonal produce. I have returned to this restaurant many times and their creative juxtaposition of flavors continues to entice my senses and delight my palate, never leaving me disappointed. Of the 60 piece menu that I shared with friends our favorite was the BTB salmon fusion uramaki with light tempura flakes, cream cheese and salmon wrapped in delicate slithers of avocado - both esthetically stunning and profoundly delicious. The salmon brulè fusion uramaki, instead, is a perfect balance between raw and cooked fish. The tuna avocado seaweed salad presents a rich texture and complex flavors that keep evolving as you savor each bite. They also have an extensive list of some of the greatest Sicilian wines, such as Etna Bianco from the Cottanera vineyards, which pairs perfectly with the delicate and intricate essences of Japanese cuisine. Furthermore, this elegant and modern restaurant is strategically located in the historical center of Messina, just steps away from some of the most renown landmarks such as the cathedral (duomo), the byzantine Catalani church (directly in front of the restaurant) and the Vittorio Emanuele theatre.

An excellent restaurant for the lovers of sushi with formula all you can eat and at lunch time is cheaper (approx. 13.50 euros). An experience to repeat often! We think is one of the best sushi restaurant in Messina with a reach menu. You can also enjoy the cooks preparing fresh sushi at the bar! Personal very courteous, service quite fast. They always keep an eye to make sure that nothing is missed at the tables. We are truly amazed we will reroute soon to try the rest of the tasteful menu!
