Have been looking for a good dim sum restaurant in the Lakeland/Winter Haven area for some time, and tried this for dinner. The shrimp dim sum looked and tasted EXACTLY like that which comes in the frozen food section of the supermarket. In fact, some of mine were still cold in the middle, so I am pretty sure they just heated up some supermarket food and plated it. My family had other things to eat, and each stated the food was "OK, but nothing special." I cannot see us going back.

We've been going to Sumo for many years, and I've reviewed them once, years ago. The food at Sumo is consistently outstanding. The sushi, in my view, is hands down the best in Lakeland. The rice is sushi grade, and flavorful. The nigiri is perfectly prepared with tuna that is bright red, luscious... and fresh. The Salmon is beautifully orange, with streaks of rich fat running through each hand cut slice. The shmear of wasabi on top of the rice and under the fish gives their nigiri the perfect hint of heat. The appetizer of vegetable and shrimp tempura is outstanding. The batter is light, just like a tempura batter should be, and the shrimp and veg are cooked perfectly tender. The spring rolls are also very good. The rolls are fresh and tasty, and General, the owner, and head sushi chef, clearly take great pride in the food they are putting out.The only issue I have with the place is that it's old and dingy inside, and feels unclean as a result. The smells have worked their way into the carpet, walls, and wallcoverings over the years, and the place is in need of a major facelift and cleanup. We'll keep coming back, however, it would be great if they would address this. Until they do, I have to give it 4 stars, however, I highly recommend it for the amazing food.

I'll be honest it tasted better than it looked. This was the 2nd best sushi I've had in Lakeland! We've eaten here a few times now and it's been very good every time.Thank you for your review. We are working on making our photos more appetizing.

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants. This time the service was almost nonexistent. Had to flag down a waiter just to get menus and water. Never brought silverware until we asked three different individuals. The waiter who finally took our order never came back until it was time to bring the bill. The food was brought out by one of the chefs. The food had lost all Thai authenticity. Instead of noodles they used linguini and the spring rolls were fried hard as a rock and the filling tasted stale. The final nail was the dirty restroom which had no paper towels. We used to go here once or twice a month. Now, never again.

This is one of the better Chinese food buffets that I have been to since being in Lakeland, Florida since last month. In fact, it was recommended based on the good quality food it offers to their patrons. After eating here yesterday I would totally agree that it offers a good selection of quality food. I noticed several times to get different plates of food that the kitchen staff are constantly checking the food plus adding fresh food to it. The eatery was busy when I got here but placed at a table here away. Lot's of parking available. They also have a posted strict reservation policy for people to read upon their arriviall here.

Very large selection makes it hard to chose but you won't be disappointed with any item. Food is very fresh and well prepared. Service is prompt and attentive. All and all a great place.

An unassuming storefront keeps this place hidden. Free soup and app as soon as you sit down. The app (Eddie's special) will have you wanting more. The sushi menu is very good, but no real crab. Hibachi grill is popular. Surprised that there is no Thai noodle soup. Service is attentive. Place is clean.Good atmosphere.

First off...we ate here twice over the weekend. Small little spot at the town center mall, but dont be fooled. The food is very good and full of flavor. In fact.. people were standing outside the window ready for an open table. I even tried Saki for the first time. Andrew was our waiter and he was awesome. I'm telling you to go by and try this place. The curry was on point with the right amount of spice in every bite. I recommend the place to everyone. Stemmed dumplings were bursting with flavor. Lots to choose from on the menu and nicely priced.
