Like all the Yelpers say, Akasaka Sushi Restaurant has a legendary chirashi bowl that competes with, and sometimes better than those you can find in Japan. I've had some of the freshest fish and chirashi bowls at tsukiji market in Tokyo, and have to say that Akasaka makes a mean chirashi bowl that rivals the best chirashi bowls in the world. The freshness and presentation, along with the variety of raw seafood make this bowl one of the best I've ever had. While the quantity of sashimi and sushi is often never enough at most Japanese restaurants, $45 here will definitely leave you satisfied.

Sunday California Champagne Brunch Every Sunday from 11am-2pm, treat yourself to the San Gabriel Valley's best Champagne Brunch featuring a live Pianist, a starter glass of champagne or a mimosa, scrumptious Dim Sum, Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao, Omelets and
Sunday Brunch runs from 11:00 to 2:00 and contains a huge array of food for every appetite. Not too pricey at $36.95 for what you get. The waitress starts you off with a juice, coffee and Champagne. Then make you way to your favorite type of food or as I did, all of them. There is an omelet table with dim sum next to it. Then proceed to the fresh fruits and American breakfast items. You might like the Salmon, shelled shrimp, or Alaskan crab legs. There is also a Chinese food selection and many types of Sushi. There is a pasta table where you can have your favorite type of pasta made. For the hearty eater go to the carving table for Korean ribs, Chinese roasted pig or yummy Filet Mignon. The dessert table has pre-made smoothies, a chocolate fountain, a crepe chef and an amazing array of desserts. You can't go wrong here. Excellent food and attentive servers.

You would never imagine valet parking in this strip mall in this part of town, but when you enter the restaurant you are transported to a completely different place! The restaurant is quite clean and modern. The service is a little slow during busy times, so I try to go between lunch and dinner. The food is amazing! So many different choices of Japanese and Mexican fusion! My favorite is the coconut seafood molcajete! Drinks are great, music is good, and the cooks can be entertaining too! Do not pass up an opportunity to try this place!

I love this place! Great service! The place is alive with activity, usually busy! Food is fresh and variety to choose from! Excellent sushi and other Japanese dishes! But my favorite, must have is garlic edamame! Parking is not a problem either and location on a busy street.

I've been to many sushi restaurants, and for the price you can't beat this place. At first, the location and ourselves putting our name on the waiting list on the small, vacated podium at the entry gave us pause. Then, because it was Friday night, we waited over an hour for 2 of us to be seated. If you can get past that, this is a great find. When we got seated, the person apologized for the wait and appreciated our patience and immediately took our drink orders. Looking around you can see that everyone is busy and they work as one. We had 4 or 5 people, while walking by, ask if we were okay and if we needed anything. Very refreshing. We then ordered an order of gyoza(dumplings) which came out hot and relatively quick. We then ordered a rainbow roll, eel roll, spicy yellowtail roll, yellowtail sashimi and spicy yellowtail with jalapeño sashimi. The fish was very fresh and everything was so tasty. This place rivals the elite sushi places but cost half the price of those high priced sushi restaurants. An added plus, they have all you can eat sushi. Normally, you would run away as fast as you could from a sushi place that touted such a claim but this restaurant is the exception. You have to try this place out if you have the opportunity.
