My wife and I were celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary. We love Sushi and gave Kim's a try. It was Saturday night and we were seated right away. We said we wanted the all you can eat sushi and the chef showed us the list of all the sushi she could make for us. The sheet was two pages long. Before long the locals saw that we were new and we got plenty of suggestions for which roll was the best. Everything we had was wonderful but I do have a tip if you want to sample as much as possible. They can make half rolls and if you are splitting it between two people that works out to three pieces for each. You have to try the Strawberry dessert roll. They take strawberries bananas and cream cheese and roll it with sushi rice and then top it with whip cream and chocolate. I can still taste Yum

We went here around 1300 on a Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant has only been open 2 weeks, but we decided to try it since there are not very many good sushi places nearby...plus we have a friend who told us about the place! We were quickly greeted and seated by Chillea- not sure of the spelling of a very unusual name. She was friendly and helpful and brought us drinks right away. We decided against the very reasonably priced AYCE (all you can eat) lunch -$19- and ordered edamame, a salmon skin handroll, a cooked scallop handroll, a spicy California Roll and a veggie Nay-Nay Roll. First, the service was very good. The food was quickly prepared. The edamame ($4) was a very good portion for sharing for two of us. The salmon skin handroll ($5.50) was a disappointment- sloppy preparation. It was pretty much rice and sauce in a very loose Nori and a pile of fried salmon skin chunks poured on top. I love crispy fried salmon skin, but there were no other veggies like carrots or cucumber and no beauty to the presentation. Same with the scallop handroll ($5.50)- rice and sauce rolled up with chunks of cooked scallop. Both tasted good, but not very Japanese in the presentation. The Nay Nay ($7) roll was fantastic! It was tempura asparagus, with avocado and cream cheese with rice and teriyaki wrapped in soy paper. 10 very large and beautiful slices! Now, you're talking Japanese! Beautiful and delicious. The Spicy California Long Roll ($5) also looked sloppy- but it did taste delicious and was a very generous amount of 9 slices. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice- lots of canvas photos with koi fish and some bench seating with tables and a very large sushi bar. The chef was very chatty, which I appreciated very much- we could hear him talking to the customers at the bar, asking questions and being very friendly...we sat at a table. (my husband is a little shy) We could not believe the amazingly cheap prices for the food- even the sashimi was very reasonably priced. The only real concern was the lack of attention to the presentation, but we assume that will come in time. We will be back in a month or so.

Thought we would check this place out, as it had mostly good ratings. My wife likes sushi, and I like cooked fish. We were seated at a table and were given menus. First thing I noticed, that the red tablecloth was dirty and soiled. Bad first impression. They only had 4 items on the menu that were cooked . Only 2 cooked fish items from $11 to $15. Thought that was kind of expensive for the way the restaurant looked inside. The sushi was really high priced also.We had a bad feeling about this place, and left without ordering.

We went there last night for my birthday dinner. We decided not to eat at the sushi bar but at a table. First of all the waitress was new, she tried hard but was not versed on Japanese food. I ordered Nigiri Maguro (tuna) sushi for an appetizer plus the Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura. My husband ordered the Phad Thai with chicken. The dinners came with miso soup and sticky rice. First off she delivered the soup, next the rice. I asked her about my appetizer and she finely brought that. The tuna was tough and grainy, very hard to eat, it was also in small pieces not slices. After dinner I asked the sushi chef what grad of tuna that was, he said sashimi grade. BULL I thought. When she brought the main course, which came about 2 minutes after my appetizer I was very surprised to see that there was a small bowl of thick teriyaki sauce instead of tempura dipping sauce. I asked her where the tempura dipping sauce was and she asked what that was. I described it to her and the owner, a Mexican lady that I could hardly understand, came over to see what was the matter. She left and brought back a dish of heated up soy sauce. Oh well what could I do. The batter on the tempura was not tempura batter but a mixture of panko and flour, very mealy. By the time our dinners came the rice was cold so I asked our server to heat it up which she did.My husbands Pad Thai was equally as bad, not a bit of flavor in the whole dish. We asked for boxes to go so we could box up our whole meal except the Miso soup which was pretty good. Our bill was almost $60.00 and certainly not worth it. That will be the last time there folks.
