The same familar faces are still around in terms of servers. My personal service has always been excellent. The new owners are not very personable, and seem to have a get in and get out attitude with both old and new patrons alike. This still does not deter me away from coming to this restaurant to enjoy amazingly authentic Chinese food.

Eating at Inari is a mixed bag. It is a small, neighborhood type of place, and is the type of locally owned restaurant that we try to support. The décor is functional, but is not memorable. The restaurant does have an outdoor patio (although I wonder who would choose to eat on the sidewalk of a street as busy as North Avenue). Food quality varies widely -- miso soup, seaweed salad, unagi sushi, and an unagi avocado roll were all excellent. Maguro sushi was also very good, but the sake (salmon) was a little soft. On the negative side, the shu mai were not good (doughy and not particularly flavorful), and two of the three people in our group who ordered the spicy tuna roll did not finish it (mushy, poor tasting fish). Service was very slow, even though the restaurant was only half full. There are a number of sushi restaurants in the Oak Park area, and most are better than Inari.

Delivery near the airport was $9, with tip extra. The staff were very pleasant, the food nothing special. Ingredients were fresh enough, but the food is prepared carelessly--just like many restaurants they have forgotten that real people are looking forward to the food!
