First time our party of four stopped here around 6 P.M. on Sunday, no line of people, we ordered the following - Chicken Teri Bowl with brown rice ($8), Grilled salmon Bowl ($9), and 2 orders of Tempura Udon ($16) and 4 waters. After paying at the cashier and getting the number, we found the table to seat. Now, as the food order goes - Chicken Teri was low on grilled vegies, Grilled Salmon was the longest to arrive, Tempura Udon - the soup with noodles was lacking spices. On the way out around 7 P.M. we saw a line of people to get in (go figure). We will be back to try another options.

They have great sushi specials...check the website for their lunch and happy hour deals. I love the vibe of this place...nice decor...great service! For something warm...try the Spicy Chicken Entree. I had it without the rice, all veggies and it was so good!

There is not an extensive menu. There is not a large eating area. But these two things are what make it special. Like looking for the pearl in an oyster, this is a pearl. The sushi is ultra, ultra fresh. Beautifully made and flavoursome to eat. Didn't have the poke bowl but only because I kept going back for the sushi!

Even the menu acknowledges the preponderance of imitation crab/krab in the rolls here. Finding appetizing rolls without this fake ingredient takes patience trawling through the menu. We ended up trying the Tokyo roll, Micky roll and another tuna based roll plus some Nigiri. Acceptable but not especially delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Service is quite quick given that the place was fairly busy. We sat at the bar which we always prefer for sushi. TV screens showing sports are not visible from the bar seating, which suited us fine.Draft Kirin was a good value. Cost overall was very reasonable. We're not clear how this gets top rating with so many good sushi restaurant nearby. Perhaps it's the lower prices.

We had recently been to Harney's in San Diego and discovered there was a second Harney's near Carlsbad. The sushi in San Diego was outstanding so we were excited to try the second location in Oceanside. This restaurant is classy, upbeat and the staff are very attentive. Since we arrived at happy hour, we based our choices on the happy hour menu. Excellent prices and the sushi was mouthwatering and delicious. It's definitely a fusion style approach and the menu items are very creative. We are definitely coming back when we're visiting this area again! A 5 star review is well deserved!Wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for taking the time to give us some positive feedback. It is so appreciated:)

Lived here four years and thought the building was a surf shop. Turns out there is a surf shop and also a very good Japanese style/Asian fusion restaurant. We love Japanese food and restaurant did not disappoint. Excellent sushi rolls. Not a huge menu, but all meals are carefully prepared and presentation alone is worth an Instagram picture.Great service. Interior is pretty cool and outside seating available. One block from the ocean. Plenty of street parking, but pay lot across the street may be only option during peak times, but that can get busy too.

Glad we came in for early dinner as the place is small and was packed before we finished. Delicious sushi. Weakest part of the choices we made was the ceviche. After having been to the co-joined Whet Noodle, figured we would try this side of the house. Glad we did. Could have kept rolling with the rolls. Will be back again--and will be really hungry next time.

We had dinner here during our recent visit. I was pleasantly surprised - very extensive menu and well prepared food.We ordered a bottle of sake, a number of small plates including caramelized eggplants (which was superb). The dragon roll was also very delicious. Worth a visit.
