Reviews on Sushi food in Bergamo, Province of Bergamo, Italy. Bergamo is a northern Italy treasure. Dating from 49 BC, Bergamo has two centers: the Alta (upper) city and the Bassa (lower) city, connected by a funicular and walking trails. For historic sites, go to Alta for the Piazza Vecchia, the Cattedrale di Bergamo e Battistero, and the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore Baptistry, as well as the quirky mausoleum of Rastelli, the world famous juggler. Bassa is more modern and residential, and boasts Via 20 Settembre - the shopping district.

Probably the worst sushi we've ever had. And we've had quite a lot. Sushi itself is pretty tasteless. The rice is kinda wet. The nori sheets are leathery. Combine that with the slow service and long waiting time and you can imagine why we were really disappointed. The current rating is really misleading. We discourage anyone to go here.

Excellent food, very sophisticated and creative, great choice of good wines, waiters very helpful, smiling, patient. The degustation menu was splendid on every level : taste, aspect, service. The place is neat, very pretty, decorated with quite good taste and the access is very easy, with a parking lot just next. Quite a fine dinner weâve had there ! Very grateful

Very good sushis and pizzas !About 5-7 euros for a good pizza (it's full of Italians, so it is a good proof !) and the 8 sushi pack for 11 euros when I was there.A very large choice of typical Japanese food in such an unexpected neighborhood. And you can mix it with typical italian food !The restaurant in itself is both sober and modern. It goes perfectly well with what you eat.The toilets were clean and the staff helpful and smiling.I recommend it !

KOI is a sushi and japanese cuisine restaurant, in the heart of Bergamo and with a minimal and cozy atmosphere.
This is one of the many japanese restaurant of the city, but I tried only this one and I pleasanty surprised. I'm used to Milano's japanese restaurant where mostly the cousine is chinese and the food is "plastic" (except few..).This restaurant is owned by chinese people but nothing was bad in the whole dinner. The ambience is very nice, relaxing and quiet, few tables on the upper floor, two tables like a sushi bar at the entrance. They offer main sushi dishes, and some hot dished, from edamame to udon, grilled fish/meat and vegetables. I enjoyed the green tea tiramisu, though I do not think that this one was home made. However, the rice in sushi/maki/temaki was good and propery cooked, fish had a nice taste and they had particular (but simple) combination of tastes in some new maki. The personnel is skilled, delightful and ready to listen to all your questions or wish. The price is a bit high, but I liked to spend money to have that quality of dinner!!!

Yummy Japanese food here! Almost didn't expect it as we're in Italy, and I felt I should be eating Italian food whilst here. So glad I went here though! Quick service. Very fresh food. There isn't anything from the outside of the restaurant to say it's there, so just look for the 5B on the wall. Menu was slightly hard to understand, so if you don't speak Italian... bring a dictionary or translator.

Calm and minimalistic location, kind staff, excellent food. Fish quality is supreme and cut is nothing but perfect. Preparation is also very good although, as most Japanese restaurant with a lot of customers, rice is not always given the time to cool down properly. Make sure to try the chirasci bara: you won't regret it. However, this is a really expensive place (you can easily pay 20⬠for a single portion of huramaki, make your guess for a full dinner if you are hungry), which is why I'm not giving them the best rate.
