I have been to Bamboo many times beyond counting at this point, small parties mostly but sometimes a little larger (6 - 8). I have also (probably a dozen or more times) enjoyed their take-out service. In my opinion both dine-in and take-out choices are solid and enjoyable but I must say the take-out experience carries somewhat greater value. There are more portion choices in take-out and even with the smaller size selections the portions are quite ample. The hot and sour soup is very good, the fried rice dishes as well. I very much enjoy the scallops with garlic sauce; my wife asks for a special preparation (in a white clear sauce not on the menu) for shrimp with vegetables as she has a problem with soy based sauces. The restaurant understands and obliges and offers her an alternative sauce that she thoroughly enjoys. Most of all I appreciate that the food at Bamboo has some distinction in that it is not over-seasoned, not weighed down with salt or overuse of soy sauce. They resist the tendency among many Asian restaurants to sweeten the dishes beyond what is called for. There are sweet notes where appropriate, but not overdone. The flavors of the dishes have some differentiation, unlike many Asian restaurants where everything seems to blend into one amalgam.Worthwhile to note that the restaurant specializes in Chinese but also features Japanese and Thai preparations. We eat out frequently and Bamboo has become our go-to restaurant when we want Asian cuisine. They have a fine sushi bar and of course eating sushi requires a good deal of faith in the food-handling commitment made by the restaurant. The sushi and sashimi are well executed and we have never had an instance of 'off-taste'. We find the restaurant clean and pleasant. Once in a great while the service is a little spotty but granting the dozens of visits we make, this is acceptable.High recommendation in all regards.

This is still a great place to eat. Many selections on the sushi bar, and perhaps not as great as a high-end place, but, hey, it's a buffet! Good mains, a nice selection of traditional Chinese buffet food and some American treats. And still the best hot sour soup anywhere. The lettuce bar could use a little attention-- the leaves are way too large, and the dressing is a little limited, but still a great place and I'm going back the next time I'm in town.

Stopped by for lunch. Tastefully decorated. Sushi bar present. Prompt, pleasant service. Broad menu selections including Chinese, Thai and Japanese food. We opted for Japanese and enjoyed a tasty Bento box and sushi rolls. Everything tasted great and we left satisfied. Prices were fair.
