Went there for dinner to finish off our stay in italy and it couldn't have been better! They went the full mile to create an authentic experience with complimentary sake both before and after our meal. We only went for the sushi but were very satisfied with the results, also the waiter Aleksander was incredibly kind and welcoming.Highly recommended!Greetings Ms/Mr, thank you very much for the review, we are very happy you enjoyed your experience at our restaurant, our goal it is to bring a piece of Japan here to Savona, so people can enjoy the experience and try authentic food. this is becoming a must go when I'm in Italy, this place is really a singularity in the restaurant landscape in Savona. The dining room is amazing and is evident the level of investment the owner have done here, the result is worth the expenses, i suggest if you boon to ask for the "sala dei tappeti" is really good.The food is simply perfect, new style and old style sushi with fresh and local fish is one of the best you can have. The wine list is huge and deep but also expensive.....but but don't worry there is also a "cheap" wine list were you can get good and easy wine.So bottom line is a must go.

Good warm welcome at this restaurant located the Hotel Mare in the grubby and industrial sector of town.An open / visible kitchen lets you observe the chef tasting food with the same spoon used to cook & serve. Nice!No compromise on altering dishes, for fussy eaters. Menu is very restricted, mushroom, fish or game and seafood. Massive Assumption that everyone likes these! Despite informing the waiter that my wife does not eat fish or seafood, all the hors dâoeurvers we fish based!!! No client focus or attention !!! The staff have dirty shoes and clothes too! Price was ok, with a fabulous bottle of Amarone the check came to â¬170 for two people.Remember this is a Michelin listed restaurant!! Not good enough!!Dear Bigboy1959,we feel very disappointed by reading your feedback.I took some ti to reply to this review as I personally checked with the maitre and the chef what happened.Allow me then to explain what actually happened point by point, as it differs from what you wrote.From January to May our restaurant was closed due to the complete renewal of our kitchen, which is now open and visible to our guests. The new kitchen was made with the latest technologies and "tidbits"; such as the sink divided in sections with constant flowing hot water, located at the chef's station, that allows him to have always clean spoons and cutlery. It goes without saying that he did not use the same spoon to taste and serve the dishes.You listed yourself that our carte is composed by mushrooms, fish, game, seafood and crustaceans so, despite being a restaurant with fish specialties, I'd have to disagree with you saying that our menu is restricted.As for altering or changing the dishes, we have no problems at all, the only thing we told you is that the Tasting menu is usually served for al the commensals of the table. Same thing for serving things not included in the menu - in fact to satisfy your wishes, the maitre suggested the Trofie with pesto you took, which are not in our carte.We take great care in the presentation, both of the dishes and the staff: moreover, we chose dark clothing in order to avoid possible stains on the uniform to be seen, so we're surprised to read that they had dirty clothes.We are glad you enjoyed your bottle of Amarone, but we have to say we're disapointed to find out only now that your experience wasn't as good as you told the maitre, who came by personally four times to make sure you were satisfied. We would have prefered to know that you weren't actually enjoying your meal - instead of finding it out on TripAdvisor - we could have intervened to encounter your needs and make your experience at A Spurcacciun-a unforgettable.Best RegardsPervinca Tiranini

Ad inizio settimana ho cenato da "Itoya" insieme al mio ragazzo. à stata una bella esperienza, a discapito delle brutte recensioni che avevamo letto o ci erano state riferite in merito a questa catena di ristoranti pseudo giapponesi. Il personale è gentile all'inverosimile ed il servizio è veloce anche quando il ristorante inizia a riempirsi. Mi è piaciuto quasi tutto quello che abbiamo ordinato, in particolar modo le portate che contenevano salmone crudo o i gunkan che in questo momento si trovano nel menu della settimana con salmone all'esterno e al centro il gambero fritto. Unica pecca, il ristorante risulta un po'anonimo in termini di arredamento: probabilmente sorge nei locali di una precedente attività perché, soprattutto nella zona in cui si va a pagare il conto, si notano elementi che richiamano più ad un ristorante di pesce sul lungomare che ad un ristorante asiatico.Prezzi nella norma, 19.90⬠a cena con bevande e dessert esclusi.

Lunch with the family today was really good. A little surprising in that the duck and ribs had more bone than I have seen before but the taste was excellent, and I may have been spoilt elsewhere. We had a wide selection of vegetables and meat at a price that was unbelievable - 40 Euro for a family of 3. They speak English well enough.
