Visited twice during a short trip to Bruges. The first time for a takeaway. White baguette with mozzarella, tomato, pesto, pine nut and rocket which was very tasty. Fillings very fresh and the bread light and crunchy. On the second visit we ate in. This time a brown seeded long roll with crab, tomato and cucumber. Again very tasty. Very good coffee too. The staff are great and made our visit fun. Very reasonable price too.

The restaurant is immaculatey clean and wonderfully small and intimate: with just 8 tables. The welcome is warm and friendly without being over-bearing or intrusive. The menu of South African dishes is varied and excellent with a great wine list and wide selection of beers. The food was cooked to absolute perfection and as previously mentioned, the service is not rushed or "pushy".Two warnings: This is not "fast food" - it is cooked to order and with fresh ingredients. It takes a little time; perfect for conversation and a couple of drinks! They do not take credit cards - you have to pay by cash. We were pre-warned, but one couple in the restaurant had to do a quick run to the cash machine around the corner. This is a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and fantastic service.

When a couple at the Ostend B&B where we were staying spoke highly of this family-run restaurant we decided to try it the next day. A bonus was the fact that, from the B&B, we simply had to walk straight out towards the sea along Kerkstraat and Louisastraat until we found Pot Mami on the right. As we are not at all familiar with Filipino cuisine we first sampled a platter of ââPot Mami tapasâ with different yummy bites and fresh fruit. Chosing a main, we started at the top of the menu: chicken pancit (Filipino noodles with vegetables). We will definitely be back to try more! Pot Mami is a colourful place with a pleasant atmosphere. Service is very friendly and prices are more than reasonable. On a Sunday evening around 7 we found a table without reservation.
