Find out what Steakhouse restaurants to try in Winnipeg. Any city that can be the butt of a Simpson's joke ("That's it! We're all going back to Winnipeg!") and simultaneously one of the most vibrant cultural centers in Canada is tops in our book. The city's history of isolation and self-sufficiency means that Winnipeggers are unpretentious and sincere (and fun-loving enough to name Homer an honorary citizen). Though the winters are long and cold, there are plenty of indoor activities to both keep you warm and stimulate your imagination.

Everything about this was such a treat. Extensive dinner menu and bar menu. Lots of options. Everything was delicious, the drinks, apps, dinner and dessert. Atmosphere and service was wonderful. There was lots of neat character in the building, and we had a gorgeous view of Portage and Main. Will return and recommend to our friends!

Tony Roma's is proud to be known as THE Place for Ribs. While legendary for ribs, we're famous for so much more! From Reserve Angus, grilled steaks to comfort food with a twist, our menu is focused on high-quality dishes to satisfy your cravings. Enjoy a
I came from Ontario with my family to shop for Christmas. We decided to try Tony Roma's, and were kind of underwhelmed. Our server was excellent, but my mother tried to order a steak sandwich for dinner, it being a steak house and all, and she could not, as it is only a lunch menu feature. She opted for a 6oz instead, and it came unseasoned and bland.Kinda bummed about that, as she never ever gets to go out, and her little steak and pepsi came up to $30.00 by themselves.

Iâm constantly surprised at how busy this place always seems to be, yet I go there and have a really good meal so there you go.First off, great server (wish I could remember her name...started with an L?) Fantastic personality and very efficient. Recommended that prime rib meal also comes in larger size - sold!Only two minor disappointments: calamari appetizer is way too tiny a portion, and while I appreciate a martini being poured at the table, who trains people to shake rather than stir? The also happens at Palm Lounge for crying out loud #martinisnob

Hyâs Winnipeg is a local favorite since 1958 now located at the famous corner of Portage and Main. Hyâs offers 2 levels of dining for lunch and dinner in a modern warm atmosphere. So if itâs in the stunningly warm cocktail lounge or a quiet corner of the
First the good points: the service was good and the cheese toast was yummy (or maybe we were just hungry)Then, it all went down from there. I ordered the seafood cannelloni and my husband ordered the filet mignon. A picture is worth a thousand words, I think. The pasta was dry it almost felt like I was eating a toasted wrap. There was 2 pieces of shrimp in each and it wasnât tasty at all. The filet mignon was cold and gummy, and the soup that came with it was so salty. There was hardly anyone at the restaurant so there was really no excuse for the bad food. I mean thereâs no excuse considering the price either. Like I said, you donât have to take my word for it, the photos speak for themselves.Hello,Thank you for taking the time to review us regarding your recent luncheon at Hyâs. Although I am never pleased to hear from an unhappy guest, it is only through such feedback, both positive and negative, that we can better learn to address our efforts.I am so sorry that your lunch fell below your expectations, and our usually high standards. I will not make excuses for our shortcomings that afternoon; we have a professional team. I have spoken with our Chef about the quality of the food you received and she also sends her apologies. I have also discussed your concerns with our management team; you can be assured that we will learn from this experience, and we will do our utmost to ensure that such problems are not repeated.I would like the opportunity to apologize first hand and make this up to you. Please feel free to contact me at anytime.Yours Truly,Jason SohorGeneral ManagerHyâs Steakhouse [email protected]

South American steaks, wines & other dishes offered in a charming space with a patio & a lounge.
My husband and I, along with another couple, visited Hermanos on Saturday. We were served immediately and cordially. Among the four of us we tried ribs, steak, chicken and empanadas from their diverse menu. All dishes were excellent. The portion sizes were generous, even for my husband who has a sizeable appetite. The building is very authentic and interesting. Lovely music plays in the background and the atmosphere is welcoming, if a touch loud. The wait for our meal was acceptable but a bit long, however, we were not prepared to complain. Without our saying a word, two separate employees offered apologies and complimentary desserts for what amounted to a not undue wait. We greatly appreciated the sincere gesture. Price range is average for the exchange area of downtown but the large meals of excellent quality more than make up for any expense. I would go again in a second!Hi Teresa,Thank you for your review! We're so glad that you enjoyed your experience enough that you would come again without hesitation. We're glad that you enjoyed the food, and found the portions to be big enough.Looking forward to your next visit!- Hermanos Management

Without a reservation, went for a late dinner on Monday with out of town guests. We all ordered drinks and the prime rib. The food, the service and the martinis were all excellent. The server was attentive, sociable and very good at her job. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a superb meal, well priced, in a nice higher-end restaurant.

Went with a group of 33 on May 9, including people from all over Canada. Michael and his colleagues did exactly what I expected. Delivered fantastic service and amazing food. Quote from out of town guest âI have never had a steak this good.â Private room is fantastic for large groups. Carne continues to be one of my favourite restaurants. Have never had a bad experience. Michael and his colleagues should be proud.

My husband and I chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and we were not disappointed! All the staff, especially our server Sophie, were fantastic! We ordered a lobster appetizer and steak and lobster tail for dinner. It was delicious from the complimentary warm bread to the desert and cocktail nothing was a disappointment. All of it was cooked to perfection, itâs not always that you ask for filet mingnon medium well and it comes out tender and not tough but they have clearly perfected steak. And the lobster was sweet , not dry, just right. Turned out the be a great night all around, we will be back!!

Food and service were both excellent. Steaks (filet mignon & ribeye) were both cooked to perfection. Side dishes were larger than normal (menu says "portioned to share) and very tasty. What's not to like? If you're partial to chocolate, order the chocolate cheesecake. (Trust me.)
