A traditonal, spacious family owned restaurant. We looked for somewhere to eat on a cold windy evening. There was no one along the seafront or anywhere else - turns out they were all at La Cantina! It was buzzing. Lovely family and staff. Great food. Homemade puds. Just great. Booking advised as seems popular with large families...

Great restaurant, not in the center of Viareggio, great food and excellent service. We found the restaurant by accident but it was the best. The butcher and waiters are very passionate about what they serve which is so nice!

What a great evening! 18th May 2018. We showed up a bit early, but was welcomed in a "homely" way. We got a table outside and some delicious ham, cheese and homemade, fresh sausages(!) , accompanied by a crispy nice Prosecco! Wonderful! The staff was really fantastic and made us feel like home. Some challenges with the language, but no problem. We had a special composed menu that was a "10" all the way through. We selected a Tuscany red Brunello wine , absolutely fantastic. The Entrecôte was cooked to perfection(!) And the combined butchery and restaurant made it a really authentic scenery. If you are ever, in Viareggio, DON'T miss it. Next time we will be speaking Italian! :) Best recommendations! Anne & Roy, Norway (home of the Stoccafisso)

This is a lovely modern restaurant. Dinners only. Wonderful beef stakes. Big or huge. Smallest is a filet of 250 gram. I chose vegetable suffles (3 small beautifully presented) to start and cold meat cuts with rocket salad as a main course though it was from the starters menu. Excellent. My husband chose the onion soup that was rich plus the filet. We had a bottle of lovely red wine, suggested by the waitress, excellent for its price 26 euros. The cost of the meals for two was 100 euros, so this is not cheap.

Came to this place after spending some time at a nearby beach club. The staff was very friendly and our waiter spoke really good English. My friend and I both ordered the fish pasta with olives, capers, and tomatoes. Best pasta we have had in Italy. We also ordered a bottle of white wine that was super cheap and delicious. The restaurant gave us a free soup appetizer and a free fresh strawberries and cream dessert which were both also amazing. 10/10 recommend.
