Reviews on Steakhouse food in Varadero, Matanzas Province, Caribbean. The powdery sands of Varadero are as seductive as the soft lapping of the Kawama Channel waves. Famed gangster Al Capone used to frequent the shoreline resorts, and the city still maintains that glamorous luster that’s been historically appealing to high rollers. Mansions-turned-museums are favorite destinations for curious Cuban history buffs. Nature lovers can embark upon a day of adventure, exploring the area’s caves, keys, and virgin forests.

Our third time at this resturant and again a wonderful experience both from a culinary experience to the athmosphere. Service was great with an astounding waiter (sorry didnt get your name.) Food was prepared to perfection. Being a fussy steak lover Again I was impressed by the preparation of my steak. The lobster is always wonderful and tghe shrip are good. We added a spanish wine to top off the meal and were as usual completely satisfied. See you again next year.

We tried this restaurant while we were in Varadero, the menu has very good selection, so we ordered lobster and beef médaillon 2 portion, 2 shrimp cocktail and 2 dessert, 3 bottle of water and one espresso total was $82.00The food was great and portion good, shrimp cocktail not the best. Our server was nice and polite, the restaurant is very modest but cleanViviane

After sampling a bunch of restaurants, my picky butt was craving a steak and Iâd just about given up hope of finding a steak thatâs tastes like home. Due to a condition called ARFID I have issues with texture and smells of some foods and being in Cuba really messes with me as much as I love the country. By day 3 I was sick of vegetables and smoothies and announced that I needed meat. I hate the taste of Cuban beef but I am forever searching for a steak in Cuba that I love. I am always overjoyed to find a place I can eat at and El Toro is one for a very good reason: apparently, as the owner told me, he gets Canadian beef. I was like âok buddyâ and laughed it off with my fiancé. We ordered a ribeye for him and a strip for myself (I didnât wanna drop a load of cuc in case he was lying to me).I s$!? You not... it tasted like Canadian beef. Like a steak I make at home, but better because there is amazing bread with oil and garlic and the fritas are to die for. The ketchup was... Cuban but the A1 STEAK SAUCE, yeah the bottle says from North York Ontario. Haha so this dude actually gets Canadian imports somehow. Either way we loved it. The service was great and the atmosphere was like a steakhouse back home but with a nice patio just below street level. Great place! We went back 2 nights later for the Rib Bone special and let me tell you, bring some friends and an appetite because that was a lot of meat. And it was delicious and cooked to perfection! When given the choice of the peppercorn sauce or the champignons (mushroom) sauce, ask for once of each. And dip your steak, AND your fritas in them. Youâre welcome! Thank you El Toro, see you next year!

As a guest staying on The Level at the Melia Varadero, one of the perks is that the steak house is open to you for Lunch. We had a great lunch there pretty well everyday and never ate at the buffet once. "Mini" took such great care of us. We found it was better at lunch than for dinner, when the menu is Tex Mex.

One of the better restaurants on the resort with decent varied menu, but limited choiceCheck beforehand what is NOT on menu to avoid disappointment Drinks are readily available but sometime waiters need promptingFood was quite good and whilst one could describe as nouvelle cuisine you do leave normally full
