We were visiting Charleston and wanted to have a nice dinner. I was able to call and make reservations the day of for a party of three (online reservations would have been nice). Parking is free in the attached lot. We were greeted by name. The service overall was excellent and we all loved our food. I had the petite filet, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My only very small suggestion is to serve the shrimp cocktail on crushed ice. If I ever make it back to WV I will definitely dine at Lauryâs.

I traveled with two other family members to South Charleston and we ate dinner here after an all day drive from Indianapolis. Our appetites were strong and we were NOT disappointed in the food!!! I ordered the sirloin steak... It was prepared just right and so very delicious. The service here is excellent, atmosphere quiet and friendly, and the items on the menu are varied.I have eaten at this chain before in other states and have never been disappointed. No wonder it is a Choice restaurant on trip advisor!!!!

I went to Chop House recently for business dinner. I chose location due to being close to hotel in downtown where I was staying. There was five of us on a Monday night and busier than I thought it was going to be. Prices are very high for area and what you get. Menu is steak house specific - a la carte steaks with sides. Service was slow due to number of people in restaurant. Food is good and nice wine list and atmosphere. Solid choice but will try other places if I come back for business.Hello,Thank you for the feedback. I am disappointed to hear about your mixed experience at The Chop House. I have forwarded your review to our General Manager Jason Billings, and we would really like to speak with you personally. If possible, please contact Jason at (304) 344-3954. We were visiting from out of town and heard this was a good place to eat. It was an interesting drive up the hill to get there but it was well worth it. I got the fried green tomato blt, my dad got the aspargus parmesan soup and my sister got the last chicken salad sandwich. I thoroughly enjoyed my BLT, my dad really liked his soup and my sister liked her sandwich. The french fries were good and we were very happy with the brewed iced tea, sweet and unsweet. The server Tiffany did a great job and we all enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. When we come back to Charleston will eat here again. Thank you so Much Marti for your kind review! We love when guest have a positive experience w/us at the Bistro! I will be sure to pass this info along to Chef John & Tiffany! We look forward to your visit back w/us in Charleston WV!!
