Reviews on Steakhouse food in Segovia, Province of Segovia, Spain. Segovia is a picturesque old city with twisting alleyways, the highest concentration of Romanesque churches in all of Europe and pedestrian-only streets, all bordered by a medieval wall and two rivers. In 1985, this sleepy Castillan town was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. One of the main tourist attractions is Alcázar, a royal palace built sometime around the 11th century where Queen Isabel agreed to fund Christopher Columbus’ exploration of the New World. The picturesque palace is said to be Walt Disney’s inspiration for Cinderella's Castle.

Staying in the sticks at Madrona looking for place to eat. Helpful barman opposite our hotel directed us here. It is extremely good - when you manage to find it. A very well presented establishment with bar and restaurant. We arrived early for dining in Spain at 8pm. The large bar, however, was packed with locals enjoying tapas. We were shown to a beautiful but empty dining room and we'll looked after. This was a Wednesday night, early evening in March so this could be expected, as the owner explained, it is different at weekends. No worries though the food and service was excellent - we had the local signature dish of suckling pig, which was superb. Well worth seeking Out!

I had lunch at this restaurant with my family. We ordered the special menu for 20 euros per person. We had dinner at the nice terrace; service was really slow and the place was crowded. The food is typical from Segovia: "cochinillo" roasted pork. It was very well done and tasty.

I had dinner at El Rincon last weekend and it was a great experience. Both me and my wife had the tasting menu and there was some outstanding dishes and some that could be improved. The outstanding dish was their modern take on empanada which was served in an open flat bread and we also loved their croquettes of whish half of them was served with a small quail egg on top (nearly like a very good version of scotch eggs). I think the foie was undercooked for my liking as well as being overpowered by the serrano ham but the biggest let down was the cochinillo (suckling pig). It was very fatty and the skin wasnât crispy which should not happened in Segovia which is the Mecca of cochinillo. They set the bar high but unfortunately canât deliver it across the whole tasting menu. The restaurant is set in a hotel and the lighting was on full crack (which is often the case in Spain) which isnât the most attractive of ambience but the service from the waiters and wine recommendations made up for it. Would I go here again â yesMuchÃsimas gracias por su opinión.

We had the menu del dia at lunchtime on a Thursday. There is no choice; the day of the week determines what you get. Thursday is paella (which was really good) followed by huevos con potatas (which was really, really bad). Two fried eggs, one of which was barely warm and the other absolutely stone cold with a dozen or so chips (of the frozen variety, I suspect). The waiter did offer to heat up the cold egg! Dessert was creme caramel. Bread and water (only still) or wine were included. The place was packed with locals so it must be popular with them but it is one of the worst menu del dias I have had, apart from the paella.Dear Sirs,Thanks for your assessment we appreciate it very much. It makes us get our service better.See you soon.Department Public Relations.

An old Spanish inn, which dates back to 1786. The building has been declared as one of city?S historic monuments. El Meson is located next to the Roman Aqueduct. Candido, from the fourth generation of the same family, preserves one of the most famous culi
Anazing view from the top to aqueduct. The suckling pigs' show is disputable (we had vegetarians among us). You'll lick your fingers after their meat. Aubergines with jamon and honey souce was also amazing. Salad with spargel still good, but vegetarians couldn't stand small jamon pieces in there. After the dinner the owner ordered green liquor as a gift to us. Didn't try it though

The Figón de los Comuneros restaurant is located very close to the Plaza Mayor de Segovia, a step away from the main monuments located in the city center. Our restaurant is a typical meeting point at the time of the aperitif for the Segovians. The secret
One of the many restaurants servibg the local specialties of cochinillo, castellana soup, and beans "judias de la granja". The judias and soup were very bland, and somewhat lacking in flavour. The cochinillo was fine, but nothing special and lacking in meat. Sorry....Wouldnt go back.

When I called for a table in the evening, I was asked if we wanted suckling pig or lamb - these things should be ordered in advance.I ordered cochinillo (suckling pig) for two and did not regret it.We added some starter and a salad and were fine. From the terrace, you see the aqueduct and the town.

We planned to visit this restaurant anyway, as our Air BnB was nearby. But after seeing it was #1 in Segovia AND offered a 40% discount, we were firm in our decision. We shared the asparagus starter and the roasted suckling pig....both were incredibly delicious and perfectly prepared. The service was warm and professional. We will go back to try tapas tomorrow.Book thru Trip Advisor for your discount (a few restrictions apply.) It saved us about 20 euro! Highly recommended, even without the discount. Wow!
