We had a family lunch here last Sunday and it was delicious! We had a selection of starters to share and our main courses, all cooked from the grill, consisted of a tuna steak, chicken breast kebab, fillet steaks and hamburgers. Everything was cooked to perfection! The portions are generous and the service was great. Outdoor seating has beautiful views over the area. This was our second visit to La Rampa and we thoroughly enjoyed it again. A great local restaurant. Recommended.

We were in an hotel nearby and decided to go looking for somewhere to eat. We were craving a bit of meat and to taste something typical. Unfortunately, it was not easy to communicate with the staff because they spoke almost exclusively Spanish. In fact, we received few more dishes that we had asked for and was almost impossible to finish everything. We started with some bruschetta with tomato sauce and a plate of ham (it was tasty, with good seasoning). Then, when we received a mixed grill for two, we needed to ask for an addition because we expected at least a piece of beef in the barbecue and it was not there. We did have a problem with some "chicken blood", which was kindly recooked and brought back to our table. Even the potatoes were still raw, but overall the grilled meat was pretty good. Honestly, given the not very low prices, I was expecting something better. Maybe Iâll be back to try some other dish.

A little gem of a restaurant specialing in grilled meats in the Barcelona suburb of Sant Just. They have a luncheon special on weekdays. We go there often with friends on Friday nights when a reservation is reccommended. There are two areas, the first being in front of the bar and grill and another room where the acoustics are not too good and it gets so loud you can hardly have a conversation. It is a family run restaurant inside the L'Ateneu building which also houses many of the town's public functions....dances, concerts, etc. The menu offers a variety of Catalan dishes and pizzas. But their specialty is the grilled meats. The snails cooked on a tin tray in the oven are always tasty. During the summer months a large back patio is opened for dinner and has a festive summer party atmosphere to it. There is a large oak tree in the middle of the patio adorned with lights and makes a great place for a summer evening meal or drinks. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always ready to explain any dishes on the menu. The complimentary chupito at the end of the meal is always appreciated. It is a favorite among locals and is the go to place for a group dinner of family and friends.

If you like simple Catalan food (e.g. grilled meat, chips, roasted peppers, aubergines and onions), imbibing wine or shandy from a "porró" (the communal drinking vessel), no elbow room at rustic tables on the terrace, noise and laughter with friends, then this typical and economic Mediterranean experience is perfect. If you are looking for sophistication, tablecloths, ambient lighting and quiet background music, then steer well clear!
