Reviews on Steakhouse food in Reading, Pennsylvania, United States. Reading, which gave its name to the Reading Railroad of Monopoly Fame, is located in the midst of Berks County, an area known for rich history amongst beautiful nature. The Greater Reading Area promises visitors the opportunity to experience a wide collection of covered bridges and Dutch folk barn art, and Berks County offers more intrepid explorers the chance to set off on a hike along the Appalachian Trail. Sitting atop Reading is the city's symbol, a massive pagoda, built as a hotel in 1908.

Dining at Willoughby's on Park was truly a wonderful experiance. Beverages were prepared to our complete satisfaction and starters, Steak Tartare and raw oysters were very fresh and tasty and Entrees were prepared to our liking. Server Chuck made our visit perfect. Recommend Willoughby's on Park without reservation and we will return when next in the area.

Longhorns is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. They do offer call ahead seating and carry out. They offered a decent priced varied menu with delicious seasonal sides. Their Salmon and Parmesan Chicken are fantastic if you are looking for something other than steak. Save room for dessert! Their small dessert jars are great if you just need a bit of sweet treat.

Located in an historic farmhouse in Antietam, Bixler's Lodge has been a local favorite since 1931. We offer a large variety of high quality steaks, seafood and pastas, 7 nights a week, as well as plenty of nightly specials.
We ate there last night on the reviews from trip advisor and were disappointed. First off this looks like a typical neighborhood bar which needs a lot of updating. There is no separation from the bar to the dining room and the tables are very close to each other that you have to figure your way out. While we were there we got to hear singing from a customer at the bar. The customer sang well, but I did not come here for that. I would not take anyone under 21 here because of that reason. We were greeted and seated promptly. We got out drinks right away, but the it took a long time to give our order and our check. We started off with the steamed clams which were delicious. They were on special for half price. I ordered the prime rib which was one of their specials and it was okay, but nothing to write home about. It came with a salad that had a nice mix of greens, but only one slice of cucumber and one cherry tomato, a few carrots, red cabbage and some croutons. As a side salad it was $3.75. My other side was only starches so I ordered the French fries which were also okay. I was disappointed they did not offer any cook vegies just starches. My husband ordered the wings which were also a special. All you can eat for $14.99. He said they were a nice size but cooked hard and dry. I could also see the bbq ones were way over sauced. Our waitress was good about asking for reorders on the wings The waitress was friendly and did refill my water without me asking, but talking to her friends at the bar seemed more important than our service. We will not go back.

Reading, PA's premier steak and wine restaurant located at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Reading. Prime cuts of beef, pork, lamb and seafood are served in an upscale yet casual ambiance. The wine bar offers tastings from its award winning selections.
We didn't know that the menu was so limited when we made our reservation. When we arrived, the place was empty. This hotel, Crown Plaza, has many conventions so they have downsized their menu enormously. Nevertheless, the food that we ordered and we all ordered differently, was FABULOUS! The server/bartender was personality plus and she made my fathers 92nd birthday dinner wonderful. All four of us were pleasantly surprised when the chef and server came out with a special dessert and we all sang Happy Birthday. Very nice touch and an attentive and caring staff. Mahalo Prime!
