Very good restaurant inside the Gold Tulyp Hotel. The menu is not very wide, but the quality is excellent. I had trout form a local producer: very well prepared and delicate. Prices in average. Service good and professional. Maybe the location is a little to much false rustic.

The title says it actually all! With my wife and our two kids, we came here on a very regular Saturday early afternoon for lunch. We were kind of expecting a typical Bavarian "Zur Post" kind of place, i.e. relatively old fashioned style and not necessarily great service, however we were extremely positively surprised. The menu comprises a combination between typical Bavarian dishes and Italian cuisine. We had two different pasta plates with porcini mushrooms, the kids their usual Wienerschnitzel (veal) with fries and all was really very well prepared and very tasty. With the nice addition of a very friendly (young personnel!) service! If again in the area, I would definitely go back again!Thank you very much Adriano for this positive feedback. Having read some positive reviews on Kathiâs, we decided to go. Upon arrival we were advised the restaurant was full and the only table available was within a small overflow area. Before taking in the surroundings, we accepted and sat down. We quickly realised the area we were sat was the entrance to two shops and a bar?!! The shop windows were in need of a wash and the ambience was non existent. I absolutely adore steak and often cook in my own kitchen, I was really keen to try the special Bavarian steak. Iâm a little confused as to why you would come to Bavaria and order meat from another country? There was many selections from other countries available. I should note that with a price tag of â¬39, my expectations were high. My husband ordered the burger.Our food arrived and cutting into my steak, it became obvious the meat was not cooked as ordered, I requested âmediumâ...the meat had not been rested either meaning the meat juices and blood were on my plate. I requested the waiter return to the kitchen for further cooking. Once my steak arrived back, it was cooked to my preference however still oozing meat juices on the plate. At home, my steak is rested for a minimum of 5 minutes to avoid this. The meat was nice and so too were the accompaniments, my husband reports his burger was tasteless and laden with various sauces, causing it to collapse with moisture. All in all, we would not return. A restaurant focusing on serving steak should have chefs who know how to successfully cook (and rest) this expensive cut of meat.

The steaks in this place are very decent (I like their Lamm-Filet, for example). Unfortunately, for me, this restaurant is spoiled by their low-quality burger meat. There are lots of burgers (which is good), it's a speciality of them. BUT, the meat patties are standard frozen tasteless things. For a steak place, this is not acceptable. So now, if I go there, I avoid the burgers 9which is a pitty, I like a good burger), and stay on the steaks - can't do much wrong there.

when staying at the Hotel Erber, be sure to eat your meals at their Bavarian Restaurant, during the summer- season the outdoor Beer-Garden Restaurant is open aas well. There are delicious Bavarian dishes on the menu, and the Restaurant also offers Continental Cuisine. Thomas Erber, is a Master Chef and he and his team produced delicious dishes, the wait-staff, Ms. Connie & Mr Josef will give excellent SERVICE with a smile. They have been there for years and have never disappointed. So if you are looking for a good meal with good service, look no further, dine here you will Not regret it...
