McLean is home to many diplomats, businessmen, members of Congress, and high-ranking government officials partially due to its proximity to Washington, D.C. and the Central Intelligence Agency. This is second review of this establishment. Loved it for lunch so we were very anxious to try their new Sunday brunch. Tried it for Fathers Day. One thing we noticed immediately was almost no cars in parking lot but recognize that their location is off the beaten path and brunch is new. Only two other tables occupied when we were seated. Buffet set up was ok. The âcarving stationâ advertised was brisket sliced and left under a heat lamp - not what I would consider a âcarving stationâ but brisket was ok, nothing fabulous, however. Did not try omelette station so cannot comment. General area had eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, spiced shrimp, lox, cream cheese, salads - ok but not very warm and obvious that some things had been sitting. Dessert station had some small pastry items and something in a warmer, possibly bread pudding. Ok but no comparison to the fabulous desserts we had previously had at lunch. Asked for bread and received a basket with donut holes, biscuit, and pieces of a waffle ... kind of different. Before leaving a family of four came in, looked around at the tables, and opted to leave ... this was around 1:30 which one would think was prime time. While we wanted to find the fabulous food that we had previously at lunch, and find a new place for Sunday brunch, we agreed that we would likely not return. Sad as we like the decor and recognize that brunch service is new, but needs a lot of work to come up to other offerings in the area. Will try lunch again so wonât write the restaurant off after this experience. Hopefully lunch will be up to the standards that we had previously experienced. This is a 30 minute drive (during non rush hour) for us so we hope our next visit wonât be our last. Still holding hope for another great lunch soon.
Wildfire is an excellent restaurant, from their steaks to their seafood to their chopped salads. Nice wine and cocktail offerings. Atmosphere is, I hate to say masculine, for I really like it, so just think lots of wood in an elegant setting. Service has always been very good. Multiple visits, no complaints.

Another outstanding dinner at the McLean VA Fleming's Steakhouse. Food is very generously portioned; perfectly prepared; beautifully presented; and with excellent service. Valet parking is available, but I always like self-parking in the underground garage - which is especially nice if the weather is an issue.

Enjoyed anniversary dinner here. Table was set with a tablecloth, a pleasant surprise. Filet medium rare was perfect--tender and well seasoned. Side scallops were delicious. Au gratin potatoes had great flavor. Green beans completed the main course. Gluten-free options were plentiful. Grilled vegetable platter was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Chicken tortilla soup was outstanding. Berries (GF) and chocolate cake were a nice finish. Server Natalie was appropriately attentive without intruding. Very knowledgeable and can be trusted for good recommendations. Atmosphere was comparatively quiet and subdued which made conversation flow easily since we could hear each other across the table. Great evening.

Step back in time 60 years to when going out for dinner meant something really special. Step into Wildfire, a steak and chophouse with the aura of a 1940's dinner club. From the decor to the jazz music, Wildfire has the style and warmth that makes it perf

My husband and I have visited the location in Charlotte, NC so we had high hopes that this location would be as good or better. We brought or 2 children (7&11) to dinner the first evening in Virginia. The "salad" bar had many items with at least something to satisfy everyone in our group. The cuts of meat were excellent. The rice, beef ribs, and Waldorf salad were my personal favorites from the evening. The service was exceptional. We visited on a Thursday evening, around 7 and it was terribly crowded. Thanks for dining with us and providing great feedback. We agree the walldorf salad and beef ribs are delicious. We hope to have you back soon

The steaks at this place are just wonderful (there were 3 of us and we all had different steaks). However the red wine we had was far too cold. We were told it was stored at 45 degrees but it was way too cold to get the best from the wine. Great place, great food ... but PLEASE get the wine right too!

Certainly felt that we were eating with the "upper crust" at this popular place in Tyson's Corners. Expense account or lobbyist prices combined with extraordinary food. The seafood tower is a wonder to behold. We ate lightly off the appetizer menu. I had crab cakes and my husband enjoyed the Norwegian salmon. Too rich for my blood.

The restaurant is not the quietest place to share conversation (you can ask for a booth which would be better than a table in the middle of the room). The service and the food are always excellent.Hope to see you soon
