We could see this place from our hotel, so feeling lazy one evening in we went. Big mistake. Our first waitress was lovely and helped us choose the special tacos, which were ok, served with rather limp fries. We asked about the wine so she brought out a list with no prices or glass sizes on it. She went back to the bar and brought a wine glass and said this is what you get. We ordered two glasses of âCalifornian chardonnayâ and she brought us two small sherry glasses full of a completely undrinkable white wine. We politely asked if sheâd brought the right one and asked to see the bottle the wine had been poured from. She disappeared for a while and said, sorry she wasnât allowed to bring the bottle to the table. We asked to see the manager.A Steve van Zandt lookalike, complete with the bandana but without the charisma or smile, wearing a chefâs apron, appeared after a few minutes with his hands behind his back. âYesâ he barked, which we took to mean âHow can I help?â. We queried the wine and he produced a bottle of Californian chardonnay which heâd been hiding and said, thereâs the one you were served. The bottle was unopened. We said that proves nothing, whereâs the bottle you used? He didnât answer. We asked if it was legal to have a wine list with no sizes and no prices and he said it was. We checked later online and it isnât. Having fulfilled his idea of customer service, he just growled and walked off. We know our wine and no way were we served Californian chardonnay.Another waitress came and asked if she could clear our table whilst one of us was still eating, fork to mouth â we were used to this by now of course. We got the message so, leaving the exact amount of our food and drink on the table, we walked out. Steve stared us out as we left - charming!

Gone West has tasty steaks with all the fixings at a reasonable price. Tip: if you want medium rare, order rare and it will be perfect. The salad bar is basic, but good. Full bar.

Choosing a restaurant in Page is quite a challenge....We decided to for Steer 89 and were delighted. A new management took over in May and they are really doing their best to provide the client with a great food experience. It is a typical US restaurant setting, quite dark, TV-set on, with a choice of booths or tables. The menu is typically american, with burgers and nachos done out of local fried bread, which are excellent. The qualit of the products was so good that we decided to go back the next day. Service is very efficient. Prices are reasonnable. A great address!

Terrible service, terrible communication, terrible steaks, the salad bar was depleted for the night so no longer serving it. No baked potatoes, so mushy fries and wilted vegetables were served. You can buy a better cheap steak at a bad grocery store. The ceiling is patchworked together, no bartender, glasses all over the bar, restrooms very outdated and could use a cleaning. Long wait. Where is AZ board of health? Only went because it was convenient to hotel. WOULD NOT recommend, would not go back.
