The steak (churrasco) we ordered at La Campana was wonderfully tender and well seasoned. Absolutely delicious. We also wanted fajitas and, although they weren't on the menu, the cook prepared a fantastic fajita dinner. Again, the meat was perfectly cooked and extremely tender. Our waiter was friendly. The service was fast. The food was memorable. The place was clean. It was a great night.

Nice ambiance, with a couple of first-time visitor issues, no big deal. It's a simple setup, come in, on the left are plates, utensils, and a self-serve area with rices, feijoada, yuca, salad stuff, etc. On the right is the real action, where you'll find the grill with the picanha and other meats. The chefs usually bring up each one and you let them know what you want. Just to the right side of there is a scale and cashier. You weigh the plate and they charge you about $7.55 per pound of food. You can also order your drink. You can give them a credit or debit card and they'll keep the tab and settle up when you are done, or you can decide to pay then and there. So that's how it's supposed to go. My experience was that, first, I wasn't shown all the meats, I said no chicken and that was the first two things shown me. Then the chef showed me a carne asada and I had a bit of that but come on, show me the good stuff! For example, if they have lamb I would have tried that. The famous picanha was delicious though. Only other slight fault was in getting the drink, I had to ask the manager to bring the lemonade, which was delicious. A kind of a capirinha (sic) without the booze. I'd go back, but I want to know all the meats first before I decide what to have.Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you, unfortunately we do not have lamb but the chef has to present all the cuts that we have (pork, beef and chicken) to every single guest. After a week-long mission on Ometepe, our group was looking for a place to have our last meal before flying out from Managua the next morning. Our driver suggested La Finca, saying it was his favorite place to eat. We were seated upstairs and the breeze was nice on the open-air patio. We started with a tiny cup of beef consumme and then ordered drinks. The food ranged from a vegetarian option to seafood, beef and chicken. Each person in our group of seven ordered something different and everyone was pleased. I had the grilled shrimp with garlic and my husband had the grilled lobster with garlic. Others enjoyed the veg plate and the chicken brochettes. The side dish of veggies were freshly cooked as well. We shared cheesecake for dessert and enjoyed every bite. I believe we will return to La Finca. It offers good food, good service and a reasonable price.Thank you so much for your review. There are two locations in Managua. It is a restaurant specially for Nicaraguan steak dishes âchurrascoâ. Decoration, furnishings, tables, everything well set. Well dressed waiters and well trained. Medium range prices, about $12 for a main dish. This is the ideal place for people who like to have a good steak in Nicaragua. Recommended.

This is a gem of a restaurant starting with its outdoor seating area on a corner. The outdoor seating area is spacious and has a breeze that blows thoughout the area keeping the space cool! We were quickly seated and asked for our drink order which was brought out quickly along with a complimentary salad. We all ordered the "Puyazo Campestre". The meat comes with an accompaniment of "gallo pinto" which is a native Nicaraguan dish consisting of rice and beans, and potatoes of your choice - grilled or french fried - or plaintains. The meat was tender and cooked as requested and the "gallo pinto" was one of the best I have tried! I will revisit this restaurant again to try the other offerings on the menu.

This is my second visit to Nicaragua and my trip would not be complete without dining several times at Porterhouse! I have dined at many restaurants throughout the world and this is at the top of my list!! Along with local favorites this restaurant offers food items that are not commonly found in other Nicaraguan restaurants! The wait staff is very attentive taking care of your every need and the ambiance is very romantic! Trust me you will not be disappointed!
