We were staying in Pretoria for three nights and were looking for some upscale dining and the place we were stay (coral tree inn) recommended Hinterland. We made a reservation and weâre set to go. First impressions were good with a friendly welcoming greeting like we were family. We were seated and the great service started. Our waiter knew the wines on offer and we picked out some great wines to pair with our meal. They have a stuffed onion ring appetizer which we never had seen before and sort of glad we didnât as we would gain some unneeded pounds. My wife likes her steak well done, the waiter said no problem they may butterfly the steak in order to ensure it was properly done. The service was what you hope for in fine dining giving the red wine some air before pouring and keeping the white wine chilled. The meal was one of the best we had in South Africa in three weeks. It was so good in fact that we booked a second night there while we waited for our flight to Kruger. We would certainly go here again.

Once again a fantastic night out at Little Falls Turn n Tender. Service was exceptional from start to finish, food was made to order, quick service, great presentation and delicious. Our waiter was professional, checked back with us at regular intervals and friendly at all times. I had a steak for mains, was not disappointed arguably the best steak that I have enjoyed if compared to other local restaurants that we frequent. Well done Turn n Tender and most importantly the beers were cold.

We visited Forti on a Wednesday evening and was quite surprised at how busy it was! We enjoyed excellently prepared dishes and very professional service.All that keeps me from giving the restaurant a higher rating is the lack of ambiance. We sat at a table for two, which was too big and too close to the table right next to it, to have any type of serious conversation. It was also placed directly against a mirror with a light as bright as a hospital's directly shining on the table. It really spoiled the experience somewhat. (Maybe I am comparing the experience with Ritrovo, which was a firm favourite, and it is just not the same)Hi. Thank you for your lovely review. Unfortunately we as a green building use only LED lighting and they do not dim very well. The dim look also is very convenient at hiding dirt. We love our restaurant bright to show off our cleanliness and our beautiful art. I promise you you will get used to it. If it still bothers I will simply take out the light above your table. After the initial let-down, had a more-than-reasonable T-bone steak. Would rather have appreciated it if the host suggested an alternative option seeing that they seemingly ran out of rib-eye the day before. We had dinner at this restaurant and I was very impressed with my meal.1. Located as a stand-alone building in a safe center, with ample parking and the widest parking bays in Johannesburg.2. The restaurant has an inviting atmosphere.3. I had their lamb chops: succulent, thick cut and I savoured every bite. In future, this is the place I will go for my lamb chop craving. 4. The kids enjoyed their hamburgers and ribeye steak. 5. The service is good, and their meals are well-priced.Our overall dining experience was fantastic.

We booked ahead and arrived to no table ready, they had to quickly put two tables together for us. Not set, just plain cold granite.Service was fast, and friendly but meal was cold and tasteless.Ambience was cold and quiet.What a pity, used to be great when it was the Dros.Wonât be back.

This restaurant has become an institution in Krugersdorp. It has a fabulously convenient location with ample parking, and plenty of seating in a combination of outdoors, indoors and even an upstairs section. The decor is almost odd, but oddly fitting, even in Krugersdorp.The staff made a plan to seat my companion and I even though they were fully booked and obviously busy. This did not compromise either the quality of the food not the service, so we were both impressed and grateful. Well Done guys.

What a great venue, ambiance, service and food. It was winter and they had fires outside to huddle around, before going in to the restaurant - a bit like going back into the past and reminded me of visiting Zimbabwe many years ago. Definitely an African theme. Itâs expensive, but the food is exceptional and very personalized service, including the owners/managers. Definitely worth a visit - just do it!

Loved the place. Went here to celebrate a very special occasion. We where lucky to get a table without a reservation but we did. I loved my very tender and tasty steak. My wife and your youngest daughters loved there calamari. The serves and attention to there customers is really special.
