We stop in about once a month on Saturday afternoon and it is always a memorable experience. Their menu includes numerous beef, chicken, fish and even pork entrees. The mixed drinks are tall and the bread is baked fresh. WARNING...deserts are HUGE so share it! We usually sit in the bar area in a booth or a high-top table cause they have big screen TVs in there. The larger dining area is really attractive in its Wild West motif in booths or tables. A really good experience every time.

Texas Roadhouse is a steak restaurant providing legendary food with legendary service. Texas Roadhouse specializes in hand-cut steaks, fresh-baked bread, fall-off-the-bone-ribs, and made-from-scratch sides. We also serve ice cold beer and legendary margar
the three star review is probably a gift. we were seated right away but it took around 10 minutes for anyone to come and he apologized and said someone seated three tables for him at once. Ok, I get it, and everyone was training someone so they were obviously short staffed, so some leeway was given on our part. we got our drinks and salad pretty much right away. I guess I'm just turned off by fake nice. He started yelling "here's your food" when he was like 5 tables back, would throw it down on the table and walk away. my drink was empty by the time my entree came and was never refilled. My husband's steak was juicy, and cooked perfectly but lacked any seasoning. husbands plate was cleared, I was still eating and still no drinks and now his was empty. I hear him yelling across the restaurant "here you go" and he tosses the bill on the table and goes. now, he has a table right across the aisle that he's being attentive to, refilling drinks, asking how the meal tastes but we get nothing. We are pretty easy going, tend to tip probably 35% for good service but his whole demeanor was terrible, service was poor at best and I felt like an inconvenience to him from the start.

Wow, this place has amazing steak and seafood. I dined upstairs on a Tuesday Night and we had the room to ourselves. Appetizers, main course, and dessert were all fantastic. Free parking on site!

My first exposure to Brazilian was in Minneapolis, and that place was better. Great to have Samba in Madison, but lots of work remains to make it great experience. My grudges include meat servers ("gauchos") who congregate in the kitchen area chatting, not watching that people are waiting for them with empty plates. Then some of them will come several times, and some of them will never show up. They had either 8 or 10 (I don't remember for sure) types of meat (actually one was not a meat but a pineapple - and that was a king of the party! awesome!), and each server seems to bring one type of meat; some came several times, but two of the offerings we never got to try - those guys never stopped at our table. Another issue was a quality of the meats. Some were super great, but few were of the quality that seems to "rival" free soup kitchen - in particular lamb was totally inedible; for the price they charge they should offer prime quality meats, and they are not there yet. But on the upside, their "salad bar" had great and unusual offerings, worth trying on their own.

Disappointing dinner experience. The tonic was flat and needed to be replaced. Midway through our drinks, the salad arrived with lettuce showing brown edges. We hadn't finished our salads and our steak arrived with potatoes slightly under cooked. Instead of the delightful Bernaise sauce usually served with steak, we were given a thick, yellow sauce with no flavor. Very little to recommend what was for many years, our favorite steak place.

Created by Wisconsin natives for Wisconsin diners, RARE features USDA Prime steaks aged in-house, certified sommeliers to guide guests in choosing from a selection of more than 750 wines and truly remarkable service.
From the moment we were greeted by Owen, our Anniversary Dinner was top notch. Kate, our server was very pleasant, knowledgeable on the menu and attentive. I will ask for her the next time we dine at Rare. Owen stopped by often to check on us, as he did for all of those of us who were dining outside. I enjoyed the wedge salad and my wife liked the beet salad which was creatively plated. Both of our entrees we very good ... each of us had seafood at a steakhouse! I had the Cobia and the sauce was modified in accord with my request. My wife enjoyed the seared scallops ... a bit over done, not translucent, but still good. Each entree was also nicely presented, and delivered hot from the kitchen. We finished with creme brulee and berries with cream. BTW - we dined on Sunday which happened to be 1/2 price for bottles of wine, which I consider a bonus! Kate, Owen and the staff at Rare Steakhouse made this an enjoyable evening. We will be back!

We came here to celebrate a birthday. Since it touts itself as a Wisconsin supper club, we tried the old fashioned for a cocktail. They make them right. The spinach salad with hot bacon dressing was excellent. The entrees, two different steaks and pork tenderloin, were all cooked properly and served hot. However, the French onion soup, although tasty, had way too many large chunks of bread in it. We were hoping for dessert, but there were no gluten-free options. This restaurant is small so tables are quite close together and parts of it were quite noisy. Also, coming in or leaving is through the bar and when it's busy, that's tricky, especially for anyone who has any mobility problems.
