Located in a basement close the railway station and the Friday market it looks more like a wine cellar/bar. In fact, the red wine I had was delicious. The home made pasta was nothing to write home about. Not sure I would choose again to eat âbelow groundâ in beautiful Merano.Modestly priced and very friendly service thoughDear Mr. Stephan J, thank you very much for your compliments about our stuff. We have a small but well selected assortment of wine and are very happy that you liked our red wine. It's very important for us, to offer only the best quality, wheter it be our wine or our provided menu, therefore we're very sorry that you didn't liked our homemade Pasta. Our chef is putting a lot of effort and heart in producing our homemade products everyday freshly. Our Location was a well known and much loved Restaurant which we refurbished and reconstructet, always respecting the old fashioned style of the Location. This was the second time I ate at this restaurant. The pizza was again very good - thin crust and plenty of toppings. Book the Stube, which is much nicer than the main restaurant. I understand that meat dishes are very good too. Reasonably priced

It's the second time I have the plesure to spend some holidays in Meran and after 5 years I didn't wait to go again to this fantastic typical restaurant close to Meran.It is a pleasure to stay outside with a stunning view of the mountains and inside because it is very very characteristic with its walls made with real stones and everything so nice and warm.The food is very good at reasonable prices ( I recommend the mix of grilled meat and the Canederli of course with a good Weizen beer) and the staff very kind (new management since few months here).So don't hesitate to go of you want something authentic!!Dear guest,thank you for sharing your positive experience with TripAdvisor. Restaurant close to the brewery has a big and well attended terrace. They have a good beer, varied and affordable wine card and rather extensive menu. Food is very Austrian, with a lot of meat. It's okay but not very special and not very cheap. Staff is efficient but they missed the personal touch. Food was there, shortly after we ordered it. At the end of the dinner the waiter offered a drink from the house. Good parking facilities.
