The basic business model of Ikinari Steak is: Good Steak, Fast. Most of their locations have only (or mainly) standing tables (more customers in the same space, less lingering so higher turnover). The Laketown Mall location, however, is in a mall food court, so loads of seating. The gentleman sitting behind me was so enamored with the spacious seating, he celebrated the day by downing an entire bottle of wine with his steak lunch and then proceeded to fall soundly asleep in his chair. While a bit more usual to see this kind of thing in the evening, it's Japan so nobody bothered the guy or even gave him a second look. He's wearing a suit and tie, so I'll have to assume his company has flexible rules on lunch breaks. Anyway, the Ikinari Steak here offered the usual variety of grades and sizes of steaks, and if like me you are working on accumulating "Niku Mileage" (the frequent customer point scheme to earn perks like free drinks and a free meal on your birthday) it's well worth a visit. 午後４時過ぎ、まだランチタイムなので、ランチメニューの中から「熟成赤身ロースステーキ１５０ｇ」を食べてみた。肉の量は２２５ｇも選べるが、私には１５０ｇで十分だった。これにご飯とカレー、スープの食べ放題がついて９９９円＋税。肉は赤身だがそれほど固くもなく、この値段なら満足できた。支払い額は１０７９円。プラチナパスポートで５％引き、株主優待を１０００円分使用し、実際の支払い額は２６円のみだった。

インターネットで、ランチタイムは午前11時から午後5時までということだったので、とても長い時間ランチ営業をしていることに、良心的な予感がしました。メインディッシュに「240ｇカットビーフステーキ」(1403円)を注文すると、ライス、パン、カレー、スープが食べ放題になりました。健康サラダセットは216円追加で、各種サラダやデザートが食べ放題になります。さらに、ドリンクバーが215円で追加できます。ステーキは柔らかくて、美味しい牛肉でした。ステーキソースは6種類あって、味比べが出来て、楽しく食べることが出来ました。サラダバー、デザートバー、ドリンクバーも種類が豊富で、コスパがかなり良いです。
