Peerless quality has plummeted since the original owners passed. We tried one more time tonight-- a last chance to redeem. It failed. Slow service. Forgetting items. Sub-par food. Soggy, too-salty salads. They now use canned peas on their salads vs fresh peas-- simple, but these peas were a former staple detail in their salads. Lack of quality persisted. Old, warm cole slaw. Over-breaded oysters. The worst martini ever. Steaks under and over-cooked. When my mother politely complained to the waitress about her steak, the waitress did nothing to address the situation-- not okay when a sweet 80-year old is politely pointing out that her medium-rare is well done. The waitress gave us "Chili's-like" patronizing tones: "Did we leave any room for dessert?" No. WE did not. And the cost! Holy crud. You pay $$$ for $. Ouch. You can go to Chili's, if you want that kind of Gut Bomb. For half the price, you can go to Longhorn if you need a steak. Sorry, Peerless. You ran out of laurels to rest on.

By the crowd, I thought this was the place to be on a Friday night in JC! Call ahead, as the wait on this particular night was 1 1/2 hrs. Fun and busy atmosphere, with lots of birthday singing. Our server, Chloe, was attentive and good. However, the food was average, if that. I had the barbecue sandwich and fries. They donât have slaw (what?!) and the barbecue sauce is just weird, gross. The fries were not fully cooked. My husband said his steak was tasteless. The fried pickles were okay, though. Not a place weâll return to but seems to be enjoyed by many.

Nothing ruins your dinner experience like watching everyone at your table eat while you sit and wait for your food. My husband ordered a NY strip, a $20 steak, medium. It arrived well done. Mmm. Sent that back while my daughter and I ate our food. Was told so sorry, be about 4 minutes....10 minutes later...another steak arrived, with the same baked potato. (We assume so since it was not hot) When the waitress asked how the new steak it was, my husband told her âit would doâ and she took that as excellent. When he started cutting pieces off guess what? Well done...again. I even displayed the cuts of his $20 well done steak on the plate for our waitress to see, expecting her to ask why he wasnât eating it...nope! This was NOT a $60 meal. I can honestly say it was not good. Really disappointed with the grill cook, disappointed with our service, disappointed that no manager stopped to apologize for the fact that my husband ate his meal after the table was done, disappointed that no one asked us how everything was at all! The whole experience made my husband and I decide to cook at home more for half the price and triple the taste! We are sorry to hear about your experience, and we will be looking into this for you. Please give us a call at 1-844-6LOGANS, so we can follow up with your concerns. Thanks.

Rio De Brazil Steakhouse is proud to serve the freshest Brazilian cuisine in the Johnson City, TN area!
I've been to several Brazilian style steakhouses, and finally decided to try the one in Johnson City. The restaurant was very clean, trendy, and the staff is very nice. Salad bar was lacking in that they did not have enough spicy type vegetables. I was surprised that they had smoked salmon. The meats were fairly good, though they ran out of lamb. It wasn't very busy when we came at around 5:15, but still they should have enough food for people that like one particular meat. In the menu they advertise they have beef ribs, in fact I was told beef ribs when I called up previously but it's not currently being served. I did discuss with the manager that the restaurant should have take out by the pound which would definitely increase the business. If you like beef, you definitely get your money's worth. It would be nice if you would actually see the meat as it's being cooked as I've seen in other Brazilian style restaurants, and it'd be nice if they had a sit-down bar. All in all it was a good experience, and we'll be back.

I usually come to this particular Longhorn about 1 time every 3 months or so, and the food and service is usually outstanding, but the reason I am giving it a 1 star (terrible rating) this time is because of the way staff was scheduled this day. I brought my parents here on Sat May 11th, & we saw several people sitting in lobby, the host asked me how many I told her 3 & I asked her is there a wait? She said about 15 - 20 min, I asked her why since there was at least 10 or more empty tables, she said the servers for that section doesn't come in for another 30 min or so. So we left and another couple left. Really? One day before Mothers Day you schedule servers to come in later? Poor planning by management on this one
