Stayed at the hotel on business on Monday 24th September, chose the hotel mainly because of the restaurant, have stayed and eaten before and usually it’s okay if a little on the expensive side, (fillet steak £32 for instance). Tonight was awful, restaurant seemed not to be overly busy and I chose to eat early, well so I thought, at 7 pm. Service was friendly and professional but delays were intolerable. I ordered the ribs to start which were okay but the 40 minute wait was not, neither was the delay of an hour receiving my steak main course. Many complained and people actually walked out, not what you would expect of this type of establishment presumably used to serving large numbers of covers. Communication was poor, no reason was given or explanation that service would be delayed. I feel sorry for the front of house staff who have to deal with disgruntled customers. Dear Claire and John,Thank you for visiting us again recently and for taking the time to post your feedback. Please accept our apologies for the delays during your visit. These delays are not acceptable and unfortunately were caused within the kitchen. As you mentioned the front of house team were somewhat unable to assist, and had to manage the disgruntled customers during, whilst waiting on their orders. had this been something we could have reacted too earlier and provision for then this would have been put in place, unfortunately this was not the case. Thanks again for your feedback and I am sorry that the unfortunate delays have put you off visiting us again. We do of course look forward to welcoming you back in the future.Kind regards,Brett

Went for a meal and the man who I’m assuming is the manager was very rude. He may have been trying to make a joke but either way the way in which he addressed us was not appropriate or professional to the point I felt very awkward and uncomfortable and wanted to cancel my order and leave. I’ve been for drinks serval times and never had an issue but this man has made me not want to go back any time soonHi Megan Sorry to hear about your recent visit If you could send further detail of your visit to [email protected], time of your visit so I can take this matter up with the manager on duty
