where to start? Arrived a few minutes early for our reservation, were seated just inside the door, it seemed. Service arrived later -- much later. Calamari appetizer was good, property cooked to my way of thinking. Then things went south. After some time, the server arrived; we ordered wine. it was presented later. We ordered dinner; salads arrived, mine had the wrong dressing. Server disappeared. Finally asked someone on the floor to find her. She returned. I pointed out that I asked for blue cheese dressing, not the house. Ok. She said, leaving the salad at the table. Steaks arrived next. My companion said, no, I don't want the entree with my salad in front of me. My "other" salad arrived. Server asked if we wanted our steaks returned to the kitchen. Yes, thank you. At some time after we finished our salads (punishment perhaps?) our steaks returned, I've never seen a skinnier ribeye -- or had one so salty and overcooked. AT this point, our goal was to eat and leave. After paying the tab, my companion asked a nearby person to talk with us. "Are you the manager?" he inquired. "For today, yes" she replied. My companion related our adventure She said she could not adjust the tab since it had been run, but offered us her sympathy and a glass of wine. we accepted both. Suffice to say I've been here before and I loved the food and service. But I guess all good things must end. I will be back in Moline, but not at Johnny's.Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I am disappointed to hear about your recent experience. I noticed you have dined with us before and this is not typical but did happen and I do sincerely apologize. I have shared your review with management and the culinary team to use as training/learning opportunities. I appreciate you letting us know so we have the opportunity to make improvements where needed. I do hope you will be willing to give us another try. Made 5:15pm dinner reservations before an 8pm show at the Adler. In true QC style, you'd expect a car crash during Friday night rush hour on the IL bound lane of the I-74 bridge. At 5:10pm, we phoned the restaurant to make sure the reservation was still available while expecting to be 30 minutes late. The accommodating staff host assured us it was quite alright and we were promptly seated upon our arrival at 5:45pm. Our server, Jacob, was courteous, friendly, and efficient. We told him we needed to leave by 7:15, and he provided us a great dining experience, while getting us out on time. I ordered a dry-aged DelMonico, and my spouse had the filet. Both were fantastic and were cooked exactly how we asked. I understand that some reviewers have mentioned the service here is slow, and I did notice some other parties looking around for their server. Perhaps this isn't the best restaurant if you are in a hurry? All I can say is, our experience was excellent, and we look forward to returning next time we are in the QC.

Have visited this location a number of times, occasionally the experience is quite good, it is usually at least acceptable. This experience was not. Visited shortly after 8 pm, there were a number of empty tables, so there was little incentive to get us out quickly. The hostess did not bother to leave napkins with cutlery when we were seated. Drink orders were taken quickly by a pleasant, friendly server. Unfortunately, no lemon wedges were available for the ice water. I fail to see the excitement over the warm bread served when one sits down - it is ordinary at best. Almost tasteless except for the cinammon butter served with it.Ordered caesar salads and NY strip steaks. Took a long time for the salads to come, still had no cutlery with which to consume them. By the time we received cutlery, about three minutes later, the steaks were sitting on the table. So, they cooled while we ate salad. Their caesar is OK, nothing to write home about. The potatoes were good, the steaks acceptable, except that attached to one of the steaks was a huge piece of fat and gristle. If one removed this obviously inedible piece of garbage, it became a 6 oz steak instead of an 8. To add insult to injury, we had to suffer through not one, but two, incredibly noisy birthday "celebrations." Really, people, is it necessary for you to scream at the top of your lungs to have a good time???In short, it was one irritating factor after another. Wished we had gone to another chain restaurant just around the corner where the food is only slightly more expensive, far better prepared, and the atmosphere quiet and subdued. Not likely to return.

Well worth the visit, best steak we’ve eaten in a while. I had the Montana (NY) strip and the wife had a Copper Top sirloin. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. Sides were good, generous, and included the salad bar. Service was timely and the price was suitable for the quality of the food.
