Tellers is not just a Chophouse. Itâs an institution. Born out of an old bank, Tellers delights visually with the original Mosler Vault serving as our wine vault at the heart of Tellers and a dining room set inside sky-high ceilings and 30 foot vertical w
This was our first visit to Tellers, and it couldn't have been better. Beginning the moment we walked in the door, the service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was extremely pleasant--a former bank, remodeled into a big, airy, well-lighted space, with quiet background music but without unpleasan t noise. We came on a special winemaker's night, when a set menu was paired with wines from Palmer Vineyards on Long Island's North Fork. In addition to the fixed menu, we ordered an extra appetizer, crab and lobster wontons, which were first-rate. After that, we enjoyed wonderful seared diver scallops, followed by braised short ribs with a very unique seasoning and then a top-notch creme brulee, paired with albarino, cabernet franc and rose, respectively. The bottom line is that we had a top-quality meal, and will return to Tellers again.

Went as two couples for restaurant week. We were seated in the main dining room by the bar. There was a table of 2 almost right next to us which was uncomfortable. I was taken aback by the pictures of naked women seemingly on every wall. They are probably from the 1940's but still I don't want to see that when I'm eating nor when I'm going to the bathroom! Since it was restaurant week some of the food was pre made like the tomatoes and mozzerella I had. The tomatoes were very soggy and cold. I ordered from the upgraded menu and got the filet mignon well done however it didn't come out that way. They brought it back to the kitchen, cut it and grilled it again. They cut it to make sure it was cooked through but an experienced chef wouldn't do that. I should have stuck to the regular menu and gotten the salmon like my husband as that was delicious. Cheesecake was good. I feel like I should have been wowed by this place as I hear such good things but just wasn't.Hi, weâre sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your last visit with us. We always want our guests to be wowâd by each experience with us â from our 1920âs speakeasy feel to our food and service â we always want our guests to enjoy their visit with us. We do hope youâll give us another try in the future so we can show you what Strip Steak is all about.

My wife and I kept hearing the radio commercial on our local radio stations. Been meaning to try it.We went early Saturday about 430 just before a show at Westbury. One other couple in there. We started with drinks (during happy hour). My wife had a $18:00 Margarita. Witch did not like. We ordered little necks on the half shell. They were good. Asked the server whet fish was fresh and she recommended. She said the cod. We both ordered it it took almost a half hour it get it. We ate all the bread. It was a piece about 3x3 inch. A little breadcrumbs some kuinoa and a little zucchini. Was tasty but not worth $37.00 each. The check came to $175.00. Weâve eaten in some of the best restaurants in Manhattan and believe me they were worth in. Just because they can charge those prices doesnât mean they should. After all we work hard for our money. Good luck, enjoy, and bring a lot of cash. I wonât be. Sorry

In a word Delicious. Well prepared meats, delicous and generous sides. The chimichurri about the best Iâve had anywhere. The empanadas were SO good. Attentive service. Plenty of parking (when we came). Reasonable prices. Accommodating to large groups. What else can you ask for????I had the rib eye, could only eat half. Another woman at the table had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, ate half. The man in our group finished the enormous filet but couldnât finish the delicous creamed potatoes. The kids didnât finish their plates either. So basically everyone left with tomorrowâs lunch. Can recommend without reservation.

Forced to go here because of a large extended family celebration. The service was not only slow but forgetful and incorrect. Worse, the steaks were more fat than meat and were overcooked. To add insult to injury, when you order medium rare, why would the line cooks prepare the steak well done? It was cheap; you get what you pay for. Avoid this place.
