After 3 meetings we were hungry and we still had a way to travel.We saw The Silver Creek Spur, and not keen franchise supporters, we were 'forced' to go there due to above reasons.Hamburgers we ordered.....it arrived and the roll that did not contain the patty and other normal burger stuff, was unattractively placed on our plates. Not toasted, not buttered, not placed on flat top.....nothing, just horribly unattractive.I asked the manager to please have the half toasted.She took the roll to the kitchen and the waiter brought back........have a look at the photos.......you won't believe if I told you.First photo: what it looked like when I called the managerSecond photo: what the waiter returnedVery hahaI am done with Spur.....I did promise myself that previously.....now I will stop for a 'heart burn pie' somewhere....Cheers Spur......I will remember the days when clients, service and pride in the name were important elements of the brand..Dear all4you2be,Thank you for taking the time to review Silver Creek Spur Restaurant. Not sure whats happening, but it's bad! No welcome....no service....waiter hardly around....no mention of specials. I ordered steak (not even average), the sauce was a joke. My gf ordered Chilli Nachos, we had to ask for more as there was hardly any on and we ordered a kiddies pizza....well, who can really screw up a kiddies pizza?! I'm very very disappointed as this use to be my favourite spot for some decent food! Seems like this one is also changing into a pub scene, like the rest of the franchise.

I've been to quite a few Spur Steak ranches over a 20 year period and decided to give these guys a go. I went late afternoon around 15:30. I usually order the standard original spur burger and follow it up with a classic waffle. I was totally blown away with a perfect burger and chips. For the burger specialists out there...who will argue and say it's only a burger and not perfect...all i will say is it's the best spur burger I've ever had...enough already bring the waffle :)Dear Winston G,Thanks so much for taking the time to send us your feedback and for your continuous support over the years. Our group of 7 had dinner here while Hussar's was celebrating their birthday. We received a free appetizer, wine and chocolate martini. The steak was absolute perfection and our Zimbabwean server was a delight. I ordered a T-bone medium which was only a bit pink in the centre and therefore I returned it. The chief came and insisted this is medium and I got the steak back. You would expect more from a dedicated steakhouse. Vegetables were ok, place is a bit old fashioned. Better try something else.
