It is 391 kilometres (243 mi) southeast of the capital Kiev on the Dnieper River, in the south-central part of Ukraine. Dnipro is the administrative centre of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Administratively, it is incorporated as a city of oblast significance, the centre of Dnipro municipality and extraterritorial administrative centre of Dnipro Raion. Its population is approximately 976,525 (2017 est.).

The reed huntermade to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived by the staff/ bartender as i don't speak the language was amazed by the staff speaking such great English the food was amazing and presented so well nothing was to much troubleall round a fantastic meal with great attentive staff great night outThank you so much! Well coming restaurant with very friendly staff. Tested the tartar steak it was excellent and the veal steak also excellent. I appreciated the educate waiters behaviour. The restaurant is not very big so that it cannot be noisy.

Restaurant Spoon has been open about 10 months since this entry. Spoon was on my list of restaurants to try during my many visits to Dnipro. The atmosphere is quiet, with mild chill music in the background. The interior design is modern, and the tables well spaced. I would suggest this would be an appropriate location for an intimate dinner with a friend or business colleagues. My server pointed out that as it was summer, locals avoid sitting inside restaurants during the warmer months, as there are plenty of establishments offering outdoor seating (Spoon does not). He assured me that in the winter months the restaurant is always full. I had a number of very good dishes, ranging from an appetizer of mozzarella and eggplant on a bed of arugula. My main dish of grilled tuna, was moist and appropriately raw on the inside, as I like it. I was also treated to a lovely spinach dish, which was tasty, and not too full of cream. Dessert was a lovely cheese cake and cherry sauce along with an espresso. I can state that this is a first class restaurant on par with many I have eaten across Europe and Asia. Fully recommended for visitors to this lovely city, experiencing a renaissance following decades of anonymity and isolation during the Soviet era.

I am from the UK, and here on business, and my apartment is fortunately 50m from this great place. My Russian is very limited, but all the staff here are very friendly and helpful and get to practice their English as well as help me with my Russian.The food is fantastic and great value, with a great menu!They also have a very good drinks and wine list.At the weekend they are open late, and you can order quite late.It's very close to the city centre.Don't listen to any bad reviews, if your in the city make sure you come to this really nice American style bar and restaurant.I'm going for lunch here today
